I am a passionate antiquarian (he who study the past with particular attention to ancient artefacts, heritage sites, or archives and manuscripts). That means that we will discover and talk about places that even the most experienced local explorers have never been.

But the most important is that we will have a wonderful time not only on our destination but during the whole trip while learning new things!

Our tour guide, in Athens was fantastic! John was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, with a deep understanding of Greek culture, mythology, history and more. We learned so much, and insights went beyond the typical tourist experience. He also gave us great recommendations for the best local bars, restaurants, and hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on a large group tour. We also booked it on a special occassion and he was so thoughtful that he surprised us with a cake, really appreciate. 🙏 Highly recommend for a personalized, quick guided tour of Athens. I decided to book this tour with John only some hours before the starting time and it was the best decision! John did his best to make it work even if he was on an other tour in the morning! Thank you so much John for the great afternoon with wonderfull places and views and so many interresting discussions and informations! I recommand this tour with John for sure and would book again with him for other tours when I will go back to Athens!A great afternoon!

Through a hotel error we suddenly had some time to fill in Athens and John came to our rescue with his Cape Sounio & Temple of Poseidon tour. A prompt response, he let us know when he would be arriving and then gave us an afternoon of pure fun. Story telling, sightseeing, coffee of course, restaurant recommendations, huge yachts, Gods, lakes - and then the temple of course. Through yet another hotel error we had to cut our lovely tour short but John,you were brilliant and we really enjoyed your tour so big thanks 🤩 Athens has a new hero!

John gave us an amazing tour of Athens, he took us to places that were off touristic paths. He was very knowledgeable of history, architecture, cultural aspects of Athens and Greece in general. He knew not only myths, historical details, religious nuances of the past, but also modern day economic situation and social changes of Greece. We had an amazing time, he was attentive to adults and made it interesting for our 3 teenagers. I would recommend to take this walking tour after you saw all the historical sights and you would want to know more about wonderful city of Athens. He even arranged a security guard opening the doors of one of the oldest churches in Athens just for us, which felt very special. Take advantage of his knowledge and ask him for dinner, shopping recommendations or even for recommendations for your traveling plans in Greece-he knows what he is talking about! I would highly recommend John as your local guide.Exellent guide

Athens is full of tour groups… but how incredibly fortunate we were to have John share his passion, enthusiasm and knowledge with us on his history and mythology tour of Athens! John has a real gift in storytelling and adapting to his audience. He is warm, friendly and engaging and his extensive knowledge and love of his city and its fascinating history was always on display. We were a family group of teenagers, parents and grandparents and John managed to engage each and every one of us. He used quizzes and stories to make the city come alive and had us searching for hidden puzzles and meaning in the architecture around us. Despite the heat (and a bit of jet-lag) affecting my children during the tour, they have since recalled everything they learnt from John and enthusiastically shared their new found knowledge with others. They took it all in and have gained a unique and personal perspective on a beautiful city. I strongly recommend a personal tour with John to appreciate the fascinating history of Athens and to dig deeper into this wonderful city! Thankyou John! Even though we’re a long way away… I would like to think we will meet again!!!10/10!!!

We had an amazing experience with John! He was incredibly communicative from the start, keeping us informed and making sure everything was tailored to our needs. What really stood out was his patience and flexibility, especially with our kids. He kept them engaged and entertained throughout the entire trip, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable for everyone.
