Medieval and Tudor London, for example, are certainly still key aspects of London’s heritage as events shaped what Britain stands for today.

Bio:

I enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life.

My background is diverse and unique. Having lived and worked in the Far East and travelled worldwide, I apply this grounding to my professional and personal life. Whilst studying, and before embarking on a business career, I was a Caseworker for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Singapore and Indonesia, using my bilingual skills.

I love to travel and share my experiences with my family by experiencing what our wonderful world has to offer together. We've so far been to places as far east as Australia and as far west as California.

The tour was fantastic! John was extremely knowledgeable about current and prior history which really elevated the tour experience. He took me to some great locations in the show which was awesome because I'm a huge fan of the show. But he also showed important royal sites in general. Great tour. John is a very knowledgable and very pleasant guide. I learned a lot about British royal history and the inner-city of London. Great way to explore the city and put the real life images to the scenes in the series The Crown. Overall a great experience!Great tour! Very knowledgable, good guide

We had a fantastic morning with John! Communication with him before we booked was great. My mom is elderly and moves slow so I wanted to make sure she could do all the walking. John was very accommodating and made adjustments for her as needed. John's love of history and all things royal shone through on this tour and he made us feel like we were part of history. Don't hesitate! Just book the tour with John! We would definitely book again if we came back to London.Feel like You're Part of History

Jon was absolutely the best tour guide we have ever had and we do walking tours every time we travel. He was so knowledgeable about London and also gave us insight into the crown. Personalized our tour to what fit us the most. He was Very kind and warm and we saw so much in 2 1/2 hours more than probably many tours for half a day. Highly recommend as well as with tours company. In fact, we will be looking for them no matter what city we visit next!Best london walking tour ever!

My husband and I were fortunate to have found this tour with John England Tours. We spent the day with John touring Chartwell and a nearby town, Chiddingstone. I reached out to John about the tour and he was very responsive and helped to plan the day based on what we were interested in. He provided all the relevant information and where to meet which was very helpful. As we drove to Chartwell, he pointed out many historical sites. He is easy to talk to and is good at reading his clientele. We enjoyed the conversation. John is very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with him. We walked through the beautiful grounds of Chartwell and he shared historical information and stories about the Churchill's and the estate. He explained before we entered the house that there are docents in each room and that he would share additional information or answer questions if needed. It worked very well and we talked as we walked between rooms. We also went to Churchill's studio where he did his painting and where many of his works were on display. The tour was everything we hoped it would be. He then took us to Chiddingstone where he had arranged for us to have lunch at a local tea room which was charming. We walked through the town and saw some of the local sites. It was a great day and we look forward to touring with John again in the future.Private Tour Chartwell and Chiddingstone

We had an amazing and full morning with John at Down House. Planning the day with John was made easy with quick responses and accommodations for our schedule. We promptly were retrieved and taken to Down House, where we were the first to arrive and had access to Darwin's home and working areas almost exclusively for a few hours. John really enhanced our experience by facilitating a meeting in Darwin's office and living areas with experts on site, thus giving privacy and attention to our visit. He was polite, responsible, and made our visit incredibly easy and worry-free. I highly recommend John to anyone looking to tour Down House or any of the amazing tours he offers. I will be looking to book myself if the opportunity comes again to visit the area.Down House, residence of Charles Darwin
