Dear friends,

My name is Joško and I am Licensed Tour Guide in Split-Dalmatia County where I was born & raised and where I live still today. I grew up here during Communism & Homeland War so I was literally living history.

I have also enjoyed living in San Diego, CA for a few years of my life.

My life experiences, formal education, and authentic knowledge of the amazing Dalmatian Coast and it's rich surroundings have led me to turn my passion into my profession-tour guiding.

I graduated from the University of Zagreb, Croatia with Master's degree in History Studies & Economics.

For last 25 years, I have been guiding and creating customized outdoor & cultural tours in Croatia and during this time I have enjoyed partnering with many US and European travel companies.

I truly believe a Croatian destination will always be gorgeous & fascinating and I simply love being an ambassador of my beautiful country with visitors. As an experienced Tour Guide that gives an insider's perspective and as a resident of the region that has plenty of local knowledge to share, it will be my real pleasure to make your vacation time in my country joyful and memorable for a years to come.

Jodko was an excellent guide. He spoke clear English. He had maps, plans and pictures with him to show us which explained things well. He knows his subject and he brought Diocletian's palace in Split to life for us. Well worth having his services, and we recommend him Fun with Josko

Our day in Split with Josko was perfect. He has extensive knowledge of the political and cultural history of Croatia and the entire region, and he's an excellent communicator. He's a great ambassador for his country. Within minutes he felt like an old friend. We learned more about Split and the Diocletian palace in a few hours with him than we would have in several days of blundering about on our own. There were several cruise ships in port that day, so by mid-morning the crowd of tourists swelled. Josko skillfully conducted us around the crowds to avoid lines and ensure that we saw everything we wanted to see as well as lots more we wouldn't have known to look for. He also guided us to an excellent sidewalk cafe for lunch where he helped us sample Croatian food and wines. We couldn't have asked for a better tour experience.A perfect day exploring Split

Joško was a wonderful guide...especially given the hot weather!! He was thoughtful in trying to keep us as comfortable as possible in the heat during our walking tour. He opened our eyes and minds to the rich history and nuances of Split. He was engaging, open and honest in his responses to our questions. We aren't fans of "typical" tourist experiences, but Joško made the tour of the historic palace and old town a joy and a unique experience. Definitely check him out if you are in Split and want a more intimate tour experience of this wonderful city.Great Split Experience!

Joško was great! His stories and wide knowledge really helped us see how Split changed through the ages and especially how the Diocletian Palace and the Old Town came to be! We learned so much more than we would have done just looking around by ourselves or with guidebooks (which only tell half the story at most) and he even managed to keep a thirteen year old and an eighteen year old engaged for over two hours. A great recommendation for dinner rounded off the trip. Thank you Joško!How to bring Split to life!

Thank you Josko for our tour of your city Split. Josko was very informative and easy to understand. We had a really great tour full of interesting facts at a perfect pace. He was very flexible with our time as a storm hit the city in the morning and he was very happy and helpful in changing the time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as a guide to anyone as this was one of our highlights in visiting Croatia. Great tour

Who knew history could be this much fun to explore and discover? Josko created such a wonderful experience and made us fall in love with Split! Not to mention how much he made us laugh, or gasp in wonder as we understood the privilege of discovering more than a thousand years of history. It was beyond our expectations!
