Hi there! Nice to meet you

Joško

Dear friends,

My name is Joško and I am Licensed Tour Guide in Split County where I was born & raised and where I live still today. I grew up here during Communism & Homeland War, so I was literally living history.

My life experiences, formal education, and authentic knowledge of the amazing Dalmatian Coast and it's rich surroundings have led me to turn my passion into my profession-tour guiding.

I graduated from the University of Zagreb, Croatia with Master's degree in History Studies & Economics.

For last 25 years, I have been guiding and creating customized outdoor & cultural tours in Croatia and during this time I have enjoyed partnering with many US and European travel companies.

I truly believe a Croatian destination will always be gorgeous & fascinating and I simply love of being an ambassador of my beautiful country with visitors. As an experienced Tour Guide that gives an insider's perspective and as a resident of the region that has plenty of local knowledge to share, it will be my pleasure to make your vacation time in my country joyful and memorable for a years to come.

I will be also very happy and proud to show you my hometown Split and region 'through the eyes of locals'.

I am looking forward to hear from you and hope to see you soon here in Split🌴🐬⛵️🤗.

ŽIVILI (Cheers)🥂!!!

Joško was an excellent host! His passion for his hometown of Split and in-depth knowledge of its history made sure we left with a real appreciation for this town. We learned about life in Split from the days of Diocletian to modern times. He even took us to a perfect spot for some local wine! We would definitely recommend Joško as your local guide for Split!!Perfect tour of Split!

We learned a lot from Joško, who thanks to his history degree was able to answer all our questions and explain Split past and present. Joško was also lots of fun and charming company. Highly recommended!A walk through time

Josko was amazing! Our friend recommended him and we were not disappointed. It was very easy to arrange a time to meet him (over WhatsApp). He was on time and accommodated that we were running a little bit late. He was very conscious of the hot weather and made sure we were always in the shade. He was super nice and funny and had great historical anecdotes and pointed out lots of architectural features we would have otherwise missed. He gave us great recommendations for around town, too. And we loved the history he shared, it reignited our interest in the Roman Empire. We would 1000% recommend him to any of our friends visiting from the US!!!Amazing tour by Joško

With the leadership of a dedicated guide, our eyes were opened to the wonders of Diocletian’s retirement palace and the world within it. Josko is a lover of history and shared that with our group. He had lots of material beyond the average guide and a great sense of humor, too. He kept the energy up even on a 38 degree day. He even took a great photo of my husband and I that might become this year’s Christmas card! Join the tour with Josko!Josko is the best!

Josko was amazing!! His knowledge of the Palace and love for history made our visit to Split very meaningful. He gave our family of 9 a private tour and everyone from age 78 to 12 enjoyed it. Would love to come back and spend more time in Croatia.Fantastic tour for all ages

Josko is wonderful! What an amazing tour! We learned so much important and fascinating information about Split, and Croatia. Josko was an expert on Diocletian history and his rule but his delivery kept us guessing and greatly entertained for the entire tour. We were lucky to experience this tour and highly recommend it for anyone interested in understanding the palace and its significance. Well worth the time and price!Amazing day !

Joško Zović was a phenomenal guide. He is engaging, informative and full of interesting facts. The tour was 2 hours and the time flew by. He has such passion for the city of Split and the history behind it. He was also very aware of keeping us in the shade during the heat and allowing us to sit on benches where available. We would highly recommend this tour. It opened our eyes and we learned so much about the history of Diocletian and the Roman Empire. We thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the best tours we've done in Croatia.Passionate, knowledgeable and captivating tour guide

A group of 4 of us did a walking tour with Josko Zovic and all agreed that the tour was the highlight of our visit to Split. Josko's guidance through the palace and well-paced review of the history helped us visualize the palace during it's prime, and gave us an understanding of the political and religious influences. He pointed out Roman architectural detail that we would not have appreciated without a guide. A favorite spot in the tour was in the People's Square, which Josko called "Time Square", with Greek, Roman, Mideviel, and Soviet architecture all coexisting in one location. We highly recommend a tour with Josko Zovic when you visit the Emperor's Palace.Wonderful guide for Emperor's Palace
