Judy was nice, funny, and took us to great places to eat and get to know a little bit of the city and its livesExcellent time with Judy
We booked this tour for our first night in Taiwan, and we got a great introduction to not just the food, but the culture, history, architecture, markets and a few neighbourhoods (and also how to use the bus network). Judy tailored the tastings to our preferences and got it spot on. She has a lot of energy and enthusiasm, highly recommend.
Judy was very enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge of the local markets, restaurants and history of dishes and we thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ate. We couldn’t eat another thing and Judy was suggesting more food to try. She also gave us suggestions for the next day. It was a good tour to start late afternoon into the evening in that we would not have gone to these places by ourselves. Local knowledge is everything when you are in a new place. Nothing Beats Local Knowledge
It was a great day with Judy and a perfect start to exploring TaipehA perfect start in Taipeh
Thanks to Judy and David for an entirely enjoyable experience on our second day in Taipei. They first took us to a local market where David taught me the basics of street photography. I learned so much and took some amazing pictures! We also had the famous pepper buns at Rahoe night market and learned about the perfect mix of a Taiwanese bubble tea. Can’t recommend this tour enough!Outstanding experience
I took part in the tour with my daughter. We had an incredibly enjoyable time. They took us to local spots that you wouldn't visit on a typical tourist trip, which greatly enhanced our enjoyment of street photography. David was very precise in teaching us about camera settings and shooting techniques. Judy's stories about history and daily life were also very insightful and valuable.
We would love to join the tour again.Great Ttaipei Experience
Always hard to write a negative review when you genuinely like the tour guide. Judy is a lovely woman and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her as a city guide, just not as a food guide. Judy is not a “foodie”. One of our stops was the 7 Eleven where she pointed out her favorite prepackaged foods! I’ve taken many food tours all over the world, and for the cost of $134 I expected much more.Disappointing
Judy was the perfect guide for our tour of Taipei and its diverse and culturally vibrant food scene. Her knowledge and passion for this tour was evident throughout the night. It was the perfect way to begin our stay in Taipei, as she provided us with a blueprint for the different foods and neighborhoods (and the food we tried was AMAZING!). Thank you Judy for a very memorable night!!Loved this tour!!
Great vibe and a perfect pace on this walking tour with Judy! Even though the highlight is a lot of absolutely delicious local delicacies, the tour taught me about urban planning and architecture, history, culture, farming, transportation, and geography! I lost count of how many different dishes we tried, but they were amazing and Judy was careful to listen to what my food preferences were and adjust accordingly... even though many of the sizes were described as "small", I feel like the portions were enormous! Easily large enough for 2 or 3 people to sample! 10 Stars for 10 Tastings!
My family of 5 and I enjoyed meeting with Judy .It was a very easy meet up because of her detailed instructions . Upon meeting her , you can sense the joy and positive energy that she brought to the tour . She has a very welcoming, excited vibe about her . We enjoyed all the food choices that she had us try . It was nice that she would ask us first how we would like to proceed with each tasting , making sure she was catering to our needs and requests. She made sure to engage everyone in our party , putting everyone at ease . The foods that she had us try were dishes we would not have tasted on our own , so we were very grateful for the tour . My personal favorite was sitting down in this small eatery that served fish balls stuffed with pork in a soup , with a side of vegetables and noodles . I also enjoyed getting in line to try the taiwanese burrito . The nougat crackers were also a big hit . All in All it was an enjoyable , awesome food tour . Thank you very much Judy !!!!!Excellent Food Tour
