Julio César

I was born and raised in Medellin, the city of eternal spring. I moved to Madrid after finishing my media and journalism studies and almost immediately fell in love with it. Its incredible cultural mixture and mild weather have both captivated and encouraged me to settle down.

I love expressing myself through dance, especially afro-latin rhythms, which I combine with my other passion: Dj'ing. Through this, I can keep in contact with my roots, while sharing it with the world.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, Julio made the few hours really fun with his enthusiasm and energy. He is extremely knowledgable and we learned so much about street photography. Would highly recommend as a way to explore Madrid. Really fun couple activity

Julio was an articulate and gracious guide as he showed us all around the historic parts of Madrid. He presented all of the information in with humor and storytelling that made it so interesting. His English is impeccable so very easy to understand throughout. I'm so glad we did this tour to get the "lay of the land" as our visit to Madrid began!Wonderful tour of Madrid!

Julio took us around for a short introductory tour of Madrid. We could’ve spent much longer with him as he was fun to be around and full of little tips and quirks of Madrid. Our teens had fun, and that’s saying something!! Thanks. Fantastic start to our trip.

Julio César gave us a fantastic tour around central Madrid. He had great energy and kept it entertaining and interactive for our whole family, including an 11 year old and 9 year old. When he found out we had taken a Tuk Tuk tour the day before, he adjusted his information so he didn’t repeat anything we’d heard before. We had our tour with Julio right on our first day in Madrid & that was absolutely exceeded all expectations. His energy, dedication & patience were so perfect that we felt like he was always a best friend. He showed us his great love for the city, hidden gems as well as places we wouldn't have time to visit with him that day. Highlight of our tour was the competition between Julio & my 7 y.o son at the playground that made him come back to practice so he "can beat uncle Julio next time" Julio is the best!

We really enjoyed our tour with Julio Cesar! He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging and we covered an enormous area relatively quickly. We highly recommend touring with him. It’s a great way to see this wonderful city!Great tour!

Julio is a wonderful guide which I can recommend with all my heart. He took his time to get to know me (I booked a private tour) and to then cater the tour to my preferences. He knew so many little details and interesting stories at basically every corner that no regular tourist guide has time to provide. His English is impeccable but after hearing that I used to live in Madrid for a few months some 30 years ago he offered to do the tour in Spanish ( I booked English) which I gladly accepted, but he switched easily to English when I was a bit "lost". I had a really, really great evening that ended with a drink ( my request, my treat, not! included in the tour offer). Hasta la proxima, Julio 💛 Muchas gracias y besitos!

Julio César is amazing- a genuine soul who gives his all to this tour. His great pride in Madrid, and sharing more about the unique beauty and aspects of Chueca is phenomenal. If you are not comfortable speaking Spanish his English is flawless. He tailors to tour to your interests. Points out & recommends local businesses, reinforces the main thoroughfares so you are always oriented properly and confident to voyage out on your own. He takes time to get to know you personally and customizes the tour highlights to your interests. Highly recommend this tour and especially this guide. Fantastic experience- Julio es lo mejor!!
