I enjoy traveling and making friends from all over the world.I've been to Turkey to pick hazelnuts, and Romania to witness historic convents with my Turkish and Romanian friends. And my friends in Inner Mongolia showed me awesome yurts. Their hospitality made my trips comfortable and unforgettable Besides, I also appreciate the new friends I made on the way. Whether they are fellow travelers on the train or locals sharing a laugh at a cafe, these unexpected but sweet friendship make each trip so unique. I sometimes can't help but think we must be connected in our last lives.
As someone deeply rooted in this community, I've had the pleasure of befriending many of the shop owners and residents. I hope you have the opportunity to meet some of the kind and interesting people who make this neighborhood so special, and of course, to savor the delicious local cuisine.

We travel a lot and this is our favourite tour to date! June has a wealth of local knowledge and will guide you to some of the most delicious food in the city, as well as being able to tell you as little or as much as you'd like to know about the rich history and politics of the area (these discussions in particular were a real highlight for us).

We had a great time on the food tour with June! We tried a lot of different foods and were very full by the end. She introduced my husband (who has never been to Taiwan) to Taiwanese food. Having visited Taiwan before, I appreciate that June included my request for fantuan...so good! We really enjoyed meeting June and talking to her about local life and politics in Taiwan. This was my first time to Taiwan and the food tour with June was the highlight of my trip. She is warm, enthusiastic, funny and insightful about local life in Taipei. The food was incredible but the best part of the tour was talking with June! Aunty June is the best!

June was enthusiastic and engaging, a fount of information about the various cuisines of Taiwan and their origins. The food we had was superb and the tea tasting fascinating. Strongly recommended as a way to appreciate the different contributions to Taiwan’s everyday food. Perhaps a taste of Japanese food, so widely available in Taipei at least, would have completed the picture.A great window into Taiwan's food culture

We had a wonderful night food tour with June! She was so knowledgeable and full of energy and information. The food was amazing and we never would have found it on our own and she showed us all around. We were running late and had bad weather and June was so accommodating and patient. June is amazing

My mother and I had an amazing time on this food tour with June! She communicated with us beforehand to make sure we understood our meeting spot and how to get there (super easy). I told her up front although I was interested in city history, I was really interested in the history of food in Taiwan, how it was culturally relevant, and how different ingredients and cooking styles play a role. She absolutely knocked it out of the park with this—and it was clear her friendships with the vendors played a role in getting great food and service every time. She is so friendly and easy to talk about anything with. She also helped me pick out some ingredients at a local market for me to take home. All the food was amazing, but the Taiwanese “burrito” sticks out for sure as something special! 100% recommend this tour — I’ve done them all over every continent and this ranked as one of the best by far. So much fun hanging with a local!

Though this was billed as a "food" tour - it was much more than that. We did indeed eat great local food, and June took us to the best stalls/restaurants and she knows the owners. Glad we came hungry - as the variety and quality of the food choices was great. Have your camera ready as it was a visual treat too! We ended in a Tea shop where we were able to buy some gifts for family and friends at home. In addition, we learned a lot about Taiwan and its peoples, culture, and history. June is a wonderful person who gave us a great peek into Taiwan. Do not hesitate to book with her.Fantastic tour with June
