As a native and lifelong resident, and a university student of both history and literature, I am effectively a walking pub quiz machine of Dublin trivia, and maybe even the odd bit of useful pragmatic advice. I'm generally knowledgeable about all aspects of the city's past (with a particular and slightly morbid fascination with the history of crime) and enjoy weaving the obscure, the amusing and the bizarre into my tours. I'm also intimately familiar with the present-day city's cultural scene and nightlife, from the hotspots to the most jealously guarded of local secrets. Strictly between you and me, see? We had a fantastic walking tour of Dublin — our guide Keelan was incredibly knowledgeable and showed us hidden spots we’d never have found on our own. What made it really special were the personal stories he shared from his parents and grandparents, which gave the city’s history a personal and authentic touch. Highly recommended!

Keelan took our family of three generations on a fabulous walking tour of Dublin. Informative and entertaining. Keelan was keen to tailor a tour that suited our family. Keenan was a fantastic tour guide and history buff. We learned so much about the rebellion and the general history of the Irish. I particularly liked the fact the he could speak with very differing accents from different parts of the country. This was so much better and more interesting than simply wandering around the city on our own, which is what we have done in the past.Enjoyable and Informative

Keelan was phenomenal. We spoke not just about local sights and landmarks, which he was well-versed in, but a far-reaching variety of topics about Ireland, Irish history and culture. He led us all around town effortlessly, and shared facts and tidbits about the various spots wherever we ended up. We appreciated hearing about his family history that he related to our questions about life in Ireland. Additionally, his knowledge of history from ancient to modern, was thorough and compelling. Keelan - you have made my trip! This experience was 100% what I was hoping for. Thank you. Magnificent!

If Keelan was Virgil to our Dante, then our tour was Paradiso. I cannot say enough good things about our experience: Keelan balanced prodigious erudition—customized to our (literary and historical) interests—with warmth, humor, personal connection, and an impressive talent with language and storytelling. Keelan is an excellent host. Kept my history loving husband interested with all his knowledge of Dublin and Irish history. Kept my teen interested in interesting facts and areas of Dublin. Felt that we got the true story of Ireland through someone who was born and grew up here. He even shared stories of his grandparents and parents. Keelan has a true passion for Ireland. Saw so much in 3 hours, so much better than if we had just walked around Dublin ourselves. Highly recommend. This is our second With Locals tours and definitely plan to do again on future trips to large cities.Great energy, wealth of knowledge
