We had the best time exploring Istanbul with our guide, Kemal. He took us to some truly unique spots that we never would’ve found on our own and shared so much interesting insight into the history and culture of the city. Kemal was incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and engaging. The tour flew by because we were having so much fun. Kemal is a confident, cosmopolitan guy who takes pride is making sure you have a great day out. He's quick to build rapport and seems to build lasting friendships with many of his tour groups. It is impressive how quickly he could customise the itinerary based on the weather, season and your preferences - he truly knows Taksim's food scene very well. His standard route for 10 Tastings of Istanbul is through Taksim, focusing on classic street food from mainstream chains. He also spontaneously worked in the chance to try Turkish wine at a nice place in Pera, and a delicious quince dessert which would otherwise be easy to miss. If you want exposure to more inventive regional cuisine, it would be worth discussing the itinerary in detail in advance. No matter what, there's no avoiding how meaty Turkish cuisine is, so considering the timing of the tour carefully and don't plan it eat much before and after this tour!10 Tastings of Istanbul with Kemal

Kemal je apsolutno fantastičan vodič – strastven, informiran i nevjerojatno gostoljubiv! Proveo nas je kroz skrivene kutke Istanbula koje sami nikad ne bismo pronašli, od lokalnih taverni do skrivenih vidikovaca s predivnim pogledom. Uživali smo u pravim "hidden gems" mjestima, daleko od turističkih gužvi, gdje smo osjetili pravi duh grada. Uz to, počastio nas je vrhunskim vinom i podijelio sjajne preporuke za restorane, barove i mjesta s autentičnom glazbom. Svaki savjet koji nam je dao bio je zlata vrijedan – zahvaljujući njemu, ostatak našeg boravka bio je još bogatiji. Ako želite istinski doživjeti Istanbul, osjetiti njegovu atmosferu i otkriti mjesta koja samo lokalci znaju, Kemal je čovjek za vas! Kemal gave us a good insight of the nightlife of Istanbul. When he heard we were eager to try local specialities he brought us to the nicest locations. We had a "baklava" (should not be called like that) it was the best we ever had... Then this was followed by a fish sandwich, wine and he knew so much of the history, nice streets etc. Time went by so quick. We would definitely recommend him to everyone. Fantastic evening with lots of surprises

Kemal hat sich nach unseren Bedürfnissen ausgerichtet und perfekt durch den Abend geführt. Dabei wies er uns auf interessante wie wichtige Eckpunkte der Stadt hin und lies keine unserer Fragen zu Geschichte, Gesellschaft und Kultur unbeantwortet. Was uns ganz besonders gefallen hat: Kemal mag Menschen, ist offen und hat uns von Anfang an das Gefühl gegeben, dass wir Freunde sind. Die Stadtviertel zum Ausgehen waren hervorragend ausgewählt! It was a great experience. Taken through a fun neighborhood, somewhat off the beaten path. Wonderful food choices, very informative about the food and the history of Istanbul which was an added bonus! Kemal was kind, attentive and generous with his time. Not only was Kemal so genuine and caring for us, making sure we were safe at all times, guiding us through the hustle and bustle of the beautiful city of Istanbul, whether it be by foot or train, but his extended knowledge of the history behind Turkey itself was really appreciated and so interesting. He always asked us if we were going ok, as being seniors, Kemal made sure we were always comfortable throughout the tour and stopping for a rest, water or whatever we desired, was also appreciated. The food stops were so delicious and being with a local guide would now only be the way to go for further tours throughout Turkey, based on the excellent experience we had with our guide Kemal.
