I'm Lars :) and I'd like to invite you to experience "la meva Barcelona" – my Barcelona!

Since moving here almost 3 years ago, I've done all of the hard work for you: the awkward conversations, committing every "faux pas" you can imagine, and slowly but surely getting beyond the surface and to the core of the true and authentic Barcelona. I have had the great pleasure of meeting some amazing people and learning about their stories – and I want to share all of this with you!

I've learned to speak Spanish and Catalan fluently which has facilitated lots of beautiful friendships with local people of all walks of life. As a musician, I've connected with many fellows artists and patrons of the arts here in my neighborhood of Gràcia – most recently I've become the secretary of a local pianist who comes from a long line of painters and architects!

Lars provided an absolutely outstanding introduction to Barcelona. Though our tour focused initially on Gaudi, Lars proved to be extremely knowledgeable about many other aspects of Catalan history and culture. He kept two curious adults and two teenagers (!!) throughly engaged for hours. Would highly recommend him!Thanks Lars!!

Lars was was a superb guide, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Gave us a tour of the Gothic quarter with excellent food tastings. Even got a good review from our usually grumpy teenage son, to put things in perspective this means it was his highlight of Barcelona! Expected a few nibbles but we had quality food, from places we'd never have picked out. 1000x better than a group tour or wondering around on your own. Book Lars, strong recommend!Great value culinary tour

What an awesome tour with Lars! We had family ranging from 7 to 70 years and Lars accommodated everyone. Lars is a fantastic tour guide and I'd highly recommend a tour with him if you find yourself in Barcelona. He 100% customized the tour to the needs of our family of four, took into account our likes and dislikes, and took us to some fantastic lesser known spots. He's a wealth of information and the kids jut loved him (he created some creative interactive ways for them to learn about some of the landmarks). Do yourself a favor and book with Lars! So glad my time traversing Barcelona solo started off with Lars! He was very helpful in acquainting me with the subway system and the different areas of town. Lars war sehr freundlich, flexibel und hat uns viele interessante geschichtliche Aspekte über Barcelona erzählt. Die beiden Tapas - Lokale, die wir besuchten, waren total gemütlich und keine typischen Touristen-"Attraktionen", sondern seit Jahren familiengeführt und authentisch. Die Auswahl an Speisen war sehr lecker und ebenfalls nicht nur die typisch- bekannten Tapas.Absolut empfehlenswert!

Lars is an outstanding host—well-prepared, genuinely passionate about what he does, and incredibly flexible. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed every part of the experience. The Barcelona tour was fantastic! We saw everything we wanted, and he kept it fun and engaging—even for our impatient, easily bored (and tired!) kids. Lars was a fantastic guide and host for our group. We went with him 2 days, including a private tour with small children. He was unflappable and so knowledgeable. He made everyone feel very welcome, quoted a very fair price and was easy to work with to organize our limited time. Lars was our brilliant guide in May 2025 and took me, my husband and two children (ages 6 & 10) around Barcelona. Lars has an immense knowledge of the history of the city, its people, language and culture. His tour enabled us to ask so many questions and learn a huge amount about this amazing city. Lars also gave some great restaurant recommendations too. Would highly recommend. Fab family friendly tour of Barcelona
