I’m passionate about our heritage and stories, with my ancestral connections to many of the families whose industries shaped Belfast – the Titanic, Northern Ireland’s shipbuilding and linen industries.

I also love the outdoors and hiking.

I live in the green rolling hills of County Down. I grew up as a child in Northern Ireland; then studied, worked, and lived in England, Canada, and Australia, before returning home.

As a well-travelled tourist, I appreciate how visitors love to meet some interesting locals, and feel they have experienced something special and different, beyond the main visitor experiences. I like to “pay forward” the welcome that I, myself, have received abroad.

I am a fun, energetic, sociable character, and I love meeting people and finding out their own stories too.

I am a fully insured Level 4 tour guide, a qualified Driver Guide, and a professional storyteller, and I work in collaboration with many other local guides.

I had a fantastic morning with Lizzie on a walking tour starting at Belfast City Hall. She is a really nice person who has lived in Belfast her whole life and is extremely knowledgeable about the city. I learned so much in two hours from Lizzie. She answered all my random questions and had stories that she had heard from her dad, her granny and other family members. Later that afternoon I went to the Titanic exhibit and knew so much to give what I was seeing context as Lizzie had provided immense amounts of information in the morning. I really enjoyed meeting Lizzie and would highly recommend her kick start walking tour. Thank you, Lizzie! Lizzie is fabulous

My small group of five met Lizzy on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in front of the City Hall. Lizzy was a delight to tour with in the city of Belfast. She was so informative and we learned so much about the history of Belfast. We really enjoyed how her family was so intertwined and influential in the city and loved listening to her tell us proudly about her grandfather. Lizzy was so friendly and she made us feel so welcome. Even when the rain was pelting down on us, Lizzy continued to do her best to provide us with interesting stories about the city both past and present. She stayed with us when we ducked inside the nearest pub to get out of the rain. She extended her time with us well after the two hour tour was supposed to end. We were even able to ask her some questions the next day that helped us with our next adventure. My family and I had a wonderful tour with Lizzie. We weren't exactly sure where to start or what to see, but Lizzie's knowledge and flexibility helped us sort out a great tour, which included a history of Belfast and seeing key important (and some fun) sights across the city. We found her to be easy to work with, highly flexible (when our scheduled slightly changed) and a delightful person with whom we enjoyed spending time. Highly recommend!! Fantastic tour with Lizzie!
