Hi! I am Lucia Bondetti and doing what I love in a city that I adore is for my arriving at the destination of the pursuit of happiness!

Art is my job and travelling and discovering symbols and secrets of Venice my passion, and vice versa!

Who I am:

an art historian, a licensed an official private tour guide in Venice an educational programs manager for museums, a tour leader, a specialized guide for running tours and activities with blind and partially sighted visitors in Venice. . but above all I am curious and I am a truly LOVER of VENICE!

Each time I start a tour my goal is to become your friend in Venice. I believe that visiting Venice is an unique experience and I love adding a personal touch and a personal point of view to the spots that you see!

I do my best to create a real feeling with travellers I meet, creating a tailor-made tour for you according to your specific interests and preferences.

Everyday I have the opportunity to meet travellers in Venice I feel really lucky to live in such a magic place like my Venice, having a possibility to share my passion and love for this city with people who visit it!

I lived in New York, Paris and Sofia, discovering amazing creative scenes. I worked for important international organization Art Westchester, Musee du Louvre, Sofia Arsenal Museum for Contemporary Art, Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia, Biennale di Venezia.

Travelling a lot I understood it was time to go back Venice and to plunge into Venetian art and history, that’s why I decided to transform my passion into a job. It was time to be a personal and unconventional guide and to organize private tours in the place I have always loved: Venice, sharing my passion with curious travelers.

Licences: official tour guide and tour leader license, guide trained and accredited by the Jewish Community of Venice and Rabbi.

For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. It is necessary to tell our story, but Lucia's tour will be meaningful to non-Jewish visitors too. The experience is a first-hand view through the eyes of a Venice local. Below is a question about Price-value rating. This is not your typical tour experience, and in my opinion, worth every dollar, eruo or shekel.Passionate Lucia

We had a great time with Lucia in the Scuola Grande San Rocco. She’s great company and hugely knowledgable. Despite having read up quite a lot before hand, we learnt lots of new things. She’s very good at interpreting the paintings as well as telling you about the history. Our sense was that she was particularly good at being able to adapt what she says to the existing knowledge of her audience, which we found really helpful. Lucia was a wonderful guide. She managed to make the visit to St Mark's and the Doge's palace highly enjoyable for all family members. We all learned a lot and had a great time. Having Lucia was a game changer for our children (ages 6 and 8): they normally lose interest in museums and picture galleries after a fairly short time, but this time they were engaged for the whole 2 hours.Lucia is the best

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our tour with Lucia. In the days leading up to the tour she shared suggestions on areas of Venice to visit, restaurants, and arranged for free private tour of a glass factory on Murano. She responded very quickly to all my questions, bought skip the line tickets well in advance, and confirmed our arrangements in advance so I wouldn’t worry. The tour itself exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge about the Basilica, Palace and history of Venice was impressive and so very interesting. Having a private tour is the way to go and trust me - you want to book in advance to make sure Lucia is available. You will be so thankful you did!Amazing Tour with Lucia!

We had the lovely Lucia show us around Venice. The kids, aged 9 & 11, put this as a top highlight of the trip. Lucia was passionate, knowledgable and kept the kids engaged in the 2.5hr tour. We adults also had fun and learnt a bit too. We added in the mask making activity at they end which they loved and allowed hubby and me to go have a appertivo sans kids - close by, which was also very nice. Highly recommend.Entertaining & Informative

Lucia was great telling us about the history of the Jewish ghetto and the synagogues . We got to tour 2 synagogues as well as go to an amazing artist's shop. She gave us a great recommendation for lunch. It was the first of 2 tours that day with Lucia and it was wonderful spending the day learning so much from her. Great tour of Venice's Jewish ghetto

This was the second tour of the day with Lucia. She has so much knowledge and was wonderful to hear many interesting stories about some of the women who were important in Venice's history. She also took us to different off the beaten track places that otherwise we would never have seen. I loved that we ended at a woman led mask making store. If you have a chance book this tour with LuciaAmazing tour learning about amazing women

Lucia was the perfect guide for my 3 teenage grand daughters and myself. Her warm and friendly personality, enthusiasm and sense of humour were an instant hit. We learnt so much about the hidden side of Venice while walking around her special areas … looking for clues, spotting features & collecting information. She brought the history alive by mixing her knowledge with her sense of fun, unusual facts and a treasure hunt. Visiting a Venetian Atelier at the end of the walk and painting our own masks was magical and gave us the best souvenir to take home from Venice. Lucia was very generous with her time, enthusiastic and gave us good suggestions for the rest of our time in Venice.Fantastic
