Hi! I am Lucia Bondetti and doing what I love in a city that I adore is for my arriving at the destination of the pursuit of happiness!

Art is my job and travelling and discovering symbols and secrets of Venice my passion, and vice versa!

Who I am:

an art historian, a licensed an official private tour guide in Venice an educational programs manager for museums, a tour leader, a specialized guide for running tours and activities with blind and partially sighted visitors and a guide trained and accredited by the Jewish Community of Venice and Rabbi for running tours inside the synagogues..but above all I am curious and I am a truly LOVER of VENICE!

Each time I start a tour my goal is to become your friend in Venice. I believe that visiting Venice is an unique experience and I love adding a personal touch and a personal point of view to the spots that you see!

I do my best to create a real feeling with travellers I meet, creating a tailor-made tour for you according to your specific interests and preferences.

Everyday I have the opportunity to meet travellers in Venice I feel really lucky to live in such a magic place like my Venice, having a possibility to share my passion and love for this city with people who visit it!

I lived in New York, Paris and Sofia, discovering amazing creative scenes. I worked for important international organization Art Westchester, Musee du Louvre, Sofia Arsenal Museum for Contemporary Art, Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia, Biennale di Venezia.

Travelling a lot I understood it was time to go back Venice and to plunge into Venetian art and history, that’s why I decided to transform my passion into a job. It was time to be a personal and unconventional guide and to organize private tours in the place I have always loved: Venice, sharing my passion with curious travelers.

Licences: official livensed tour guide and tour leader license, guide trained and accredited by the Jewish Community of Venice and Rabbi.

Lucia is so friendly and welcoming. We weren’t at the right meet up spot and she just flipped the entire tour backwards so that it would work! We got to see so many hidden gems in the city and to experience a part of Venice that felt much more ‘local’ which we really enjoyed after being in Saint Mark’s Bisilica and Square. She is a true Venetian, and displayed that pride throughout the tour. It was inspiring, informative, interactive (for our kids) and she could answer every question we had! Would highly recommend any of the tours this guide offers.A Delightful Discovery

Il tour privato con Lucia è stato meraviglioso, siamo andati con un figlio din7 anni che si era svegliato alle 4 del mattina per prendere l’aereo a venezia, e durante tutta la sperienza con lucia è stato attivo senza dire sono stanco e super involve con tutto ciò che diceva lucia e la caccia del tesoro! Abbiamo imparato tanto, conosciuto grazie a lei la zona più bella di venezia e tutti i segreti! Lucia è una donna molto speciale che sa interagire tanto con adulti e bambini! se venite a visitare la città dovete fare per forza el tour con lei! sarà una esperienza bellissima per tutta la famiglia! non perdetevela! Highly recommend this tour with Lucia! It was myself, my husband and our four kids (ages 8-13). She kept them engaged for the entire time, it was informative and fun. We all really enjoyed it. Lucia was so kind and had so much knowledge about everything in Venice, she even sent us several tips on other places to visit. Can't recommend this tour enough.Excellent tour of Doges Palace!

We had a morning with Lucia to tour the Doge’s Palace with our three young kids. She brought a fun scavenger hunt game that the kids (ages 7, 6, and 3) all really enjoyed and it helped keep them engaged enough that we adults could also enjoy our tour! She was fantastic organizing everything in advance, and even helped us with a recommendation for Murano and several restaurants in Venice. She was so patient and sweet with the kids (adults too! :) )Lucia is the best!

For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. It is necessary to tell our story, but Lucia's tour will be meaningful to non-Jewish visitors too. The experience is a first-hand view through the eyes of a Venice local. Below is a question about Price-value rating. This is not your typical tour experience, and in my opinion, worth every dollar, eruo or shekel.Passionate Lucia

We had a great time with Lucia in the Scuola Grande San Rocco. She’s great company and hugely knowledgable. Despite having read up quite a lot before hand, we learnt lots of new things. She’s very good at interpreting the paintings as well as telling you about the history. Our sense was that she was particularly good at being able to adapt what she says to the existing knowledge of her audience, which we found really helpful. Lucia was a wonderful guide. She managed to make the visit to St Mark's and the Doge's palace highly enjoyable for all family members. We all learned a lot and had a great time. Having Lucia was a game changer for our children (ages 6 and 8): they normally lose interest in museums and picture galleries after a fairly short time, but this time they were engaged for the whole 2 hours.Lucia is the best
