Lucrezia

My name is Lucrezia and I am a licensed tour guide in Venice! I was born and raised in the northern "Sestiere" (district) of Venice: Cannaregio.

Since I was a child I've always been curious about different countries and cultures and I enjoyed studying foreign languages, so I chose to graduate in Literature and Foreign Languages and to get a master degree in Economics of Tourism, Arts and Foreign Languages at the University of Venice - Ca' Foscari. Meanwhile I had the chance to travel as well: I visited the US and most of the European capitals, but I also spent some weeks in the UK, France, Spain and Russia to study.

The love for my hometown, Venice, has never decreased over the years though so I decided to start studying to become a tour guide.

My "mission" is to show travelers my city from a local's perspective, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for my hometown with them, as only a local could do. This is why most of my tours are "off-the-beaten-track". I think that to see the real side of Venice it's necessary to walk far away from the crowds and from the touristy sites and walk through charming and quiet neighborhoods, looking for the hidden corners and peaceful streets of the city, where you can still feel the authenticity and the magic of this place. I love to focus also on local traditions, habits and lifestyle today and in the past, to let you see how it feels like to be a local in Venice! I'd like travelers to feel at home here, as if they were simply having a relaxing walk with a longtime Venetian friend!

So glad we booked this tour with Lucrezia! Even months before the tour, Lu was responsive and generous with information and fully engaged with coming up with a tour that met our needs. She is incredibly knowledgeable and showed us many interesting, off the beaten path sites. We felt like we really knew Venice, despite our short time there. The Venice walking tour was an unforgettable experience! Strolling through the charming canals and hidden alleys, Lu brought the city’s rich history and culture to life with fascinating stories and insights. We very much enjoyed our morning with Lucrezia. We started on time and right from the outset she was extremely friendly and personable. She is extremely knowledgeable and showed us exactly the things we asked to see. She even had a surprise visit to a location that she knew would be of interest. All of our questions were answered and we got some incredible insights into life for ancient and modern Venetians. We 100% recommend Lucrezia for local and personal tours. Lucrezia rocks!

This was our third trip to. Eunice and I thought we had seen all the highlights. Lucrezia definitely proved us wrong. So many highlights in the city that she took us to that we never knew were there. Took time answer all of our questions and even took us to multiple spots of the beaten path. Would definitely book another trip next time in Venice. So many new places
