Back in 2005 I started my journey within the tourist industry, in my mother land, where I first worked for hotels and tour operators. The fact that I was always in contact with the guests and tourists made it possible for me to awaken my social skills, which I had put to sleep some time ago, working in sales for a few years.

I am now a tour guide in Antwerp where I enjoy showing visitors how beautiful this city is and how delicious an experience can be, when you combine it with chocolate tasting!

When we first booked we were assigned to Luis, however after noticing that he was double booked Luis handed us over to his colleague Edna instead, keeping us informed and sharing her details with plenty of time in advance. Edna was very friendly and welcoming throughout our entire tour. She told us about the history of the city, it's importance in Belgium and Europe as a whole and even some local folklore as well! The food stops we did we were very tasty, and me being a pescatarian was taken into account too. We were confident that we were getting the very best that the city has to offer! We even got some pointers on some other locations to try for dinner for some other evenings during our stay. Thank you for our lovely tour Edna, and thank you Luis for transferring us!Friendly introduction to the city!

We had the absolute BEST time on our food tour in Antwerp, and it was all thanks to our incredible guide, Luis! From the moment we met him, he was warm, funny, and full of fascinating knowledge about the city and its food scene. Luis wasn’t just a guide—he felt like part of our group. He was so flexible and accommodating, always making sure we were comfortable and having fun. You could tell he genuinely cared more about giving us an unforgettable experience than watching the clock. Our girls’ trip was already special, but Luis took it to the next level. Every stop on the tour was delicious and well thought out, and we loved hearing all the stories and history behind what we were tasting. If you’re heading to Antwerp, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Luis—you won’t regret it! Luis made our girl’s trip extra special!

If you like chocolate, you’ll love this tour with Luis. He took us to three places to showcase the different styles of some of the best chocolatiers of the city. We would have preferred the commentary to focus more on the art and history of Antwerp. Luis accommodated our need for a coffee stop and a sit down half way through and we were able to travel at an appropriate pace for our limited mobility. We found Luis strong Spanish accent hard to understand at times but as there were only two of us we were able to ask him to repeat words we had missed. Thank you Luis for sharing your City with us. Our family had a private chocolate tour with Luis. What fun! We waked the hidden secrets of the city centre and learn about chocolate. Definitely a great way to spend a few hours. All of the family loved the tour an tastings. Thanks Luis. Wonderful experience

Luis is friendly and very likeable. The route was interesting and his knowledge was good. We would, however, have liked a wider selection of foods, since this was a food tasting tour. Four of the tastings were chocolate; good quality, yes, but we would have enjoyed to taste more of Belgian foods. Good guiding, little tasting variety.

We had a great tour of Antwerp with Luis. We got to see a lot of the city - even some lesser known, off the grid spots - and hear about the history. The chocolate tastings were incredible. Luis is an excellent tour guide, I would highly recommend. Great tour!

We had a chocolate tour of Antwerp with Luis yesterday. It was fantastic. We got to see great sites in Antwerp and learned a ton about chocolate and specifically how it is produced in Belgium. This was our first tour with “With Locals” but we are already planning to do more in other cities! Luis was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Super fun (and yummy!) chocolate tour!

We spent an informative and interesting walking tour for 3 hours with Luis. He showed us the city’s highlights and we had some excellent Belgian chocolate tasting experiences also. Antwerp is a beautiful city snd worth exploring with Luis. Lovely guy and an excellent tour

Luis was very prepared. We got to try a lot of local chocolate and got a real feel for Antwerp. I would recommend aswas very helpful and answered all our questions and we had a great time.Very Nice Chocoate Tour
