Hello,

I would like to give you a warm welcome to my hometown, as locals like to call it "the most beautiful city in the world". During the tours, you'll learn more about the 17 centuries of history of this vibrant town. What it is that makes us proud and passionate, but also what challenges 'Splitizens' nowadays.

Since my university days, I've been working in the tourist industry. After obtaining a license as a tourist guide and experiencing the thrill and emotion that direct contact with travelers from different cultures brings into my life, I've decided not to return to a desk job in a travel agency. This thrill and excitement keep me going even after 18 years of professional guiding. Although traveling all around Croatia and abroad makes me happy, I find that guiding in the city of my origins fulfills me as I can share firsthand experiences, thrills, and emotions of living in this bustling town.

We had a fantastic tour with our guide Maja in Split, who did an excellent job combining history with Game of Thrones locations. We specifically asked to see filming spots from the show, and our guide came prepared with a binder full of photos from the series and behind-the-scenes shots. This made it easy to compare the real locations with the scenes filmed in and around Diocletian's Palace. The tour was very detailed—we explored the ancient Roman palace while learning about its real history, as well as discovering key GoT sites, like Daenerys' dragon chambers. The mix of factual history and fun behind-the-scenes stories made the experience incredibly engaging. Highly recommend this tour to both Game of Thrones fans and history lovers! Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made the whole experience unforgettable. At the end of the tour Maja even helped us pick out a very good restaurant. We couldn't have asked for more. we really enjoyed the tour! It was so very insightful and without you we wouldn’t have been able to experience the city the way we can now!! Our daughter especially enjoyed all of the art history references and the fact that you went into even greater detail after knowing her interest in - it was just great and she really appreciates it! We were on our final day of a 12-day cruise, and Maja provided us a lovely finish to our trip. She walked us through the Palace and explained so many things. She took great pictures of us, so that we would have wonderful memories of the day. Our tour included a treat and we asked if perhaps we could find a place for a local beer instead of ice cream - and she found a wonderful place tucked into a quiet, little square. She was very accommodating to swap out the treat for a beer - what a nice surprise! Nice guided walk through Split

We spent three hours with Maya, guiding us through the most important places and hidden gems of Split. She provided us with historical and artistic details, adding very interesting information on the whole history of the city, it’s inhabitants, up to the recent years and future perspectives. She helped us also with the planning the coming days of our stay in Split. Maya is not only a very professional and experienced guide, but also a very pleasant person who makes the all experience very positive. In addition, she accepted to be our guide on Easter day showing attachment to her work and making our Easter especially beautiful. Thanks a lot, Maya! A great, experienced and pleasant guide

Went for a two hour tour, as our time was limited, and learn alot about Split and its rich history. Maja was very professional, skilled and had alot of interesting knowledge to share. Would recommend Maja any day. On top of this Maja had a fantastic recommendation for our dinner in suggesting to visit Bokeria, which turned out to be a very high end dinner experience. FANTASTIC AND AUTHENTIC!
