They work very hard on the beautiful land(fruit and vegetable plantation). Highly recommend this tour. We did it with our 2 children aged 7 and 10. Markets were a big highlight as we saw fish, birds, puppies, kittens and heaps of lovely local produce. We loved looking around the farm allotments and seeing all the beautiful vegetables, fruit and herbs. Mahn was a great host and we enjoyed talking to her about Vietnamese culture. The food we made was delicious- some of the best we ate in Hanoi and such a nice break from the city. It was wonderful to see another side of Hanoi (local village life) which is vastly different from the busy old quarter. Thank you for a great morning. 🙏🙏🙏🙏Great day out of the city!

Our family of five booked a cooking class with Manh (Mandy) and enjoyed it thoroughly. She was very easy to communicate with when booking our reservation and was so warm and inviting when she opened her home to us. We enjoyed the tour of the farm and the food we helped to prepare was delicious. We appreciated receiving the recipes after our visit. Highly recommend!A wonderful afternoon

Our visit and cooking class was beyond perfect. Incredible tour of the local market, a lovely time discussing the area and Vietnam, and the best time cooking and eating with Mandy. This is a must do for anyone visiting Hanoi.The best thing we did in Hanoi!

We had the most wonderful day with Manh. She showed us her local town, the market there and the surrounding fields before heading to her home to cook some of the most delicious foods. It was so nice experiencing a more relaxed and authentic market with only locals and no other tourists around. Walking over the fields and hearing more about local foods and the life on the outskirts of Hanoi was a highlight in itself. When we started cooking we had a lovely chat with Manh about Vietnamese culture. The food (we cooked only vegetarian food) was some of the best we had so far on our trip. We can only recommend everyone who loves to have an authentic experience to go and spend some time with Manh!One of our vietnam Highlights

Our day with Manh was much more than we could have hoped for. For starters we were given a unique glimpse of a rural ex-urban community. We met a few market vendors who mostly cater to the wholesale food market for Ha Noi street food and markets. Then we wandered through the fields of vegetable gardening with as much variety as we could not have known or understood. Then it was all capped off with a great meal, to which we were full participants. Lots of hugs when we parted. Where to begin?

One of the absolute highlights of my trip to Hanoi was visiting Manh in her village, Song Phuong, about 40 km west of downtown Hanoi. From exploring the vibrant local market to experiencing life on the farm and cooking a spectacular lunch at Manh’s lovely home, every moment was unforgettable. We learned the key principles of Hanoi and Vietnamese cuisine, sharing experiences, stories, and a love for food along the way. As the icing on the cake, I got to BBQ on their own handmade grill, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. To top it all off, Manh generously shared the recipes with us after the visit, allowing us to recreate the flavors back home. This trip is perfect for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in authentic Northern Vietnamese flavors while enjoying a peaceful escape from the bustle of Hanoi. This trip is great if you want to step outside of Hanoi and experience the culture and food of a more rural Vietnam. The farms and market were very interesting to see, Manh was kind, and an amazing chef!Great truely local experience
