As a traveler and a language teacher for 17 years I’ve met thousands of students and friends from different backgrounds and ways of living who made me very comfortable with the new and the diverse. I love learning new things and materializing my feelings through cooking, drawing, painting and writing skills.

I was born in Brazil and I've lived in Montréal for 7 years and since the first week this city made me feel like I was home. Come discover Montreal with me on exciting walks or incredible bike rides.

I love exploring different cafés and restaurants. Make art and stretch in our beautiful parks. Dance my life off during the weekends and going from city to nature by bike.

I live in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal where I also have my art studio open for visitors and art lovers.

En tant que voyageur et professeur de langues depuis près de 15 ans, j'ai rencontré des milliers d'étudiants et d'amis d'horizons et de modes de vie différents qui m'ont mis très à l'aise avec la nouveauté et la diversité. J'aime apprendre de nouvelles choses et matérialiser mes sentiments à travers la cuisine, le dessin, la peinture et l'écriture.

Wonderful 3 hr. walking tour with Marcelo in June 2024. Marcelo is a wealth of information about the various neighborhoods, cultural activities and history of the city and region. Great follow-up with recommendations of other things to do, places to see and restaurants. Montreal Walking Tour

This is my second time using WithLocals, and I would go again the next time I explore a new city. Marcelo was a great guide, and I appreciated his overview of Montreal’s history and Quebecois culture. I also enjoyed that we went to several different neighborhoods of the city, each with its own charm. What I like most about the tour is his well-informed perspective and high-yield learning that you can’t get from a travel book so readily. Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours we spent with Marcelo. He took us through many significant neighborhoods in the city and told us about Montreal's past, present and future. We learned so much! Marcelo had a gentle, engaging manner which made us feel comfortable to ask questions. He gave us lots of good tips on sites to see, neighborhoods to further explore and places to eat. Even after the tour was over, Marcelo sent us additional recommendations and even travel instructions using the Metro! We could not have had a better tour guide - he was thorough, informative and clearly loves Montreal and it's international citizenry and English/French history.A Great Tour in Montreal

Marcelo was extremely accommodating as we had some cold, rainy weather, was open to schedule changes and easy to work with in that respect. We got a great introduction to many neighborhoods and shown how simple it was to use the metro! Also, we were very curious about the underground shopping, which he was able to show us as well! All of this while giving us many interesting facts about Montreal and Quebec. He was also able to help us find a store that was on our list to visit while we were in the neighborhood! I highly recommend starting your trip here with him, you will not be disappointed and he was able to give us recommendations of where to go for the rest of our trip, including some restaurant recommendations!! Great intro to a wonderful city!

Had a great day with Marcelo! What a lovely mix of history, culture and food; like hanging out with an old friend and discovering all that Montréal had to offer at the same time. We had a great tour around Montreal with Marcelo. We were a group of 4 with limited time in the city. We rented bikes and covered a lot of ground. Would highly recommend this tour! Great way to see Montreal
