Hi, I'm Margherita and I'm a licensed tour guide and tour leader.

The love for Art is in my Dna because my parents love to travel and when I was a child they used to bring my young sister and me all around Europe to visit new cities, museums and monuments and discover news languages and cultures..even now, wandering around in new cities still be one of my favourite things.

After a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages & Cultures in Bologna, I've discovered that I really love to explain the Art, the Culture and the Beauty of my city to other people and thus I decided to study to become a tour guide. That was a really good idea : after my first tour, I understood with no doubt that I've found what suit to me!

I love everything about this job which give me the possibility to enrich myself, chatting with different people, discovering new cultures and falling in love with Bologna everyday a little bit more too! In fact, my office itself consist of old streets, beautiful monuments, Medieval towers, Churches, Museums, and the different colours that this city displays during the year seasons.

As a guide, I love to show Bologna talking about Art, History, bring you to hidden gems, chatting about city curiosity and food traditions, obviously.

This was our first time using With Locals and it was wonderful. From my initial visit to the website to the end of our tour the experience was flawless. Margherita was an amazing tour guide. She showed all the sites I had on my list to see and some things I would never have know to look for. Her knowledge of Bologna and stories of the towns history were just what we were looking for. I have already recommended her to two other travelers. My husband has some mobility issues and Margherita was very considerate of his needs. A wonderful guide and tour.

We could not have asked for a better guide to tour us around Bologna than Margherita. Her brilliant smile and personality along with her cast knowledge of Bologna —she was born and raised there —gave us a unique experience. We are so happy we decided to do a detour and visit promising to reírme next year and stay for several days as we make our way to Venice. We look forward to having Margherita with us again. Margherita è una guida preparatissima, oltre che simpatica e molto disponibile. Ha creato per noi un bellissimo tour includendo non solo spiegazioni sulla storia di Bologna e i siti principali, ma anche degli ottimi assaggi (caffè allo zabaione, cioccolato e un aperitivo nella zona del Quadrilatero). Il tempo assieme è volato ed ha davvero dato un senso più profondo alla nostra visita in città. Anche i nostri parenti, che ormai vivono a Bologna da anni, hanno scoperto cose nuove di cui non erano a conoscenza. Grazie Margherita, sei fantastica! Fantastica Margherita
