Our tour guide was not available on the day, but sent another “Maria” in her place which was kind of her. Our Maria was an absolute delight from the moment we met her. We learned so much about the history of Verona, from the Romans to the families who influenced the culture and customs under various rulers and factions. Her manner was charming and made all the details more like “fun facts”. Would highly recommend this tour and if you’re fortunate enough to encounter “Maria” that will be a bonus. Maria Pia was a wonderful guide for our multi-generational group of 5. She told us great stories about the history of Verona. She made sure we kept a walking pace that was good for us while still seeing as much as possible. She was so much fun and made our first day in Verona so memorable. Maria Pia was a delight. Animated and full of wonderful stories and tidbits about Verona. Her knowledge of the history of the architecture was wonderful and she was able to answer any questions asked of her. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend her as a guide!
