Born and raised on a farm in a little village nearby Utrecht at the age of twenty I started to travel the world and work abroad in the airline and tourist industry. A few years ago I came back to my roots in Utrecht and never been happier. I like to share my passion for the history, present and future of my city. Due to back problems I walk around with walking sticks, but this does not withhold me from anything and I look forward to showing you Utrecht through my eyes.

On a beautiful sunny afternoon in November, Mariëlle guided us (three colleagues) through the centre of Utrecht. Mariëlle has a sparkling and very pleasant personality and is an incredible source of knowledge. Also her background and long experience in tourism adds to the experience and inspiring stories she shared with us. Even though I live in Utrecht, I have learned a lot. Since our tour I am looking at some of the places I must have passed already a 1000 times before in a very different way. Mariëlle is not only a very pleasant person to walk around town with, she also is very flexible and adaptive to the preferences of her audience. We really enjoyed the tour with Mariëlle. We appreciated all the information she shared with us about the history and life in Utrecht and the route allowed to cover a very interesting set of sites and locations. We did the Ten Tastings of Utrecht with Marielle and got much more than expected. Her delightful explanations of the history and monuments was a pleasure to hear, and then of course we were treated to the food and drinks of the city. Wonderful time! Enchanting Experience

Wir hatten einen tollen Spaziergang durch Utrecht mit Marielle! Sie hat uns viel erzählen können und ist auf alle Fragen eingegangen. Sie hat uns einige Tipps gegeben, welche wir in den folgenden Tagen ausprobiert haben und die uns noch sehr schöne Momente beschert haben. Zur Halbzeit der Tour hat sie uns in ein schönes Lokal geführt, wo wir gemeinsam etwas getrunken haben. Wir haben Marielle für einen Tour durch Utrecht auf deutsch gebucht und sind begeistert gewesen! Sie ist auf Wünsche und Fragen individuell eingetragen, wir fühlten uns rund herum gut betreut.
