I was born in 1974 in Milan. Eventually left for an opportunity to study abroad through the Erasmus Program. Toward the end of my studies, I spent time in Normandy writing my thesis in cultural geography, and I couldn’ t have imagined the places where, in the coming years, I would live; I couldn’t have imagined Munich and Paris. I didn’ t think that I would teach Italian to Germans in Germany, welcome Italians at the Tourist Office of Dijon in France or that, one day, I would work as Guide in Florence and accompany those French people and Germans in whose culture and country I had already lived for more than ten years. I couldn’ t even imagine that one day I would choose Florence as my adopted city.

Mario was an exceptional guide through the streets and monuments of Florence. His extensive knowledge of Florence's history, art, architecture, and culture was truly impressive. He even highlighted several places I could revisit later. Mario had the unique ability to provide both a general overview and detailed specifics as needed, all in a pleasant and easy conversational manner. Additionally, he made some great recommendations that I subsequently followed up on and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you!Excellent

Wir hatten zu zweit Mario von 10-17 Uhr für eine Führung durch das historische Zentrum von Florenz gebucht (6 Stunden Führung + 1 Stunde Mittagspause). Über Mittag hat sich Mario für die Pause verabschiedet, uns einen Treffpunkt genannt und wir mussten uns selbständig ein Restaurant suchen. Hier hätten wir uns etwas mehr "Service" gewünscht. Insgesamt sind wir enorm viel herumgelaufen (ca. 7-8km?) und haben dabei sehr viel zu sehen bekommen. Erfreulicherweise auch in der einen oder anderen Nebenstraße und nicht nur die "hot spots". Mario ist auf alle Fragen eingegangen; unsere Wünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Die Eintrittskarten für die Uffizien hatten wir vorher gekauft (Aufenthalt mit Mario knapp 2 Stunden); gerne hätten wir auch noch die eine oder andere Kirche besichtigt, aber leider zeigte sich Mario hier recht unflexibel, da wir keine Karten hatten und daher hätten anstehen müssen. Santa Maria Novella und Santa Croce ging am nächsten Tag aber ganz fix - keine 10 Minuten anstehen. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, das es mit Mario sehr angenehm war, wir viel gesehen und gelernt haben und es nie langweilig wurde. Fachlich sicher zu empfehlen, aber unbedingt vorher die Einzelheiten der Tour abstimmen. 485 Euro für 6 Stunden (mit 2 Personen) ist preislich am oberen Ende der Skala; daher deuttliche Abstriche beim Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.Tagesführung mit Mario in Florenz

Mario spent 3 hours showing me the history and architecture of Florence. It is obvious he is well read, knowledgeable and passionate about the city and its art and history. I learnt so much about the various buildings and monuments that i would not have known or found out otherwise. He was flexible and we were able to improvise and see different things along the way making the tour feel more like a natural walk. It never felt rushed at any stage and we had some interesting conversations along the way. I would thoroughly recommend Mario as a guide for anyone interested in the history, art and architecture of this amazing city. Fantastic host and guide

Wir hatten eine ruhige und lehrreiche Stadtführung mit Mario. Alle unsere Interessen wurden berücksichtigt und Mario ist herrlich unaufdringlich, gleichzeitig aber aufmerksam und zugewandt. Wir können diese Stadtführung sehr empfehlen. Mario ist sympathisch und vielseitig.Entspannt und interessant

The Renaissance tour gives a great idea of the influence of this period on the city of Florence. Mario was very knowledgeable and told us all the stories about the different buildings and sites related to the Renaissance. We ended in the museum where Mario showed us a replica of the facade and the dome of the Cathedral: very impressive!
