Come and discover this beautiful city of Munich with me. My name is Marjut and I'm originally from Finland, but I fell in love with the German language and decided to visit Germany and stay there for a while. I very quickly fell in love with the German mentality and way of life and so Germany became my new home. That was a long time ago... and in the end I found the most beautiful area to live in: Bavaria.

Munich, the state capital of Bavaria, is old-fashioned and at the same time very modern and lively. Together we will explore the most interesting places in the old town and I will tell you the fascinating stories about these places. We will also talk about the events in the Third Reich and visit these places.

You'll definitely get a feeling of Munich and discover how easy it is to fall in love with Bavaria!

In addition to the walking city tours in Munich, I would also be happy to take you on a longer tour.

As a driver/guide with a comfortable private car (MPV), I will take you to the most beautiful places and cities: pretty mountain villages with enchanting royal castles, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Prague, Venice... where would you like to travel? This tour was great! Marjut is very kind, she even came to meet us at our hotel because we didn't know our way around and she gave us enough information about places to go and things to see that we could have made an entire second days worth of touring. She is very flexible, she has her options of food places she goes to for you to get a taste of many aspects of Bavaria, but works with you on where to go, when to best fit your needs. For instance, my wife was hungry as we hadn't eaten in quite a few hours. So instead of starting with some of the history, we jumped right into some food! Though she has places in mind of where to go, if you ask her about a stand or what something is, she will take you to try it. Many of the food stands offered free samples too. The most surprising thing to me was how good the Gluhwine (umlaut over the u, I just can't do it on this phone) was. My wife and I do not like wine, so hot wine didn't seem like something we would be into, but something about heating it up got rid of some of the typical bitter flavoring that wine has and made it sweeter. Perfect for a cold evening. Only recommendation is if you book with her, the typical German expectation for gratuity is 10%. Bring a bit more 10-15 $/Euro, because she buys all the food for you while you wait at the tables.

Our time with Marjut was wonderful. We booked with her for the day we arrived in Munich at 2:30PM, as we knew we would be tired from travel and would like to get adjusted to and oriented around the city and have dinner already figured out. Her deep knowledge of Munich's history made the tour both informative and engaging, as she guided us to major sites, sharing fascinating stories along the way. The quantity of food was great too. We had at least four stops around the Viktualienmarkt for Leberkas, the best bratwurst we've ever had, sauerkraut and sausages in the biergarten, a pretzel, and pickles. We had a stop for haxen, which was delicious. We even had an apple strudel for dessert. By the end, we were full and grateful for her tips on where to explore further. We had an outstanding introduction to Munich thanks to Marjut. She took us through the heart of the city. She shared local folklore along with history while sharing her recommendations on more things to do, places to see, and food to enjoy. We had an excellent tour of the Navarian Castles with Marjut. She showed up early, had drinks and snacks ready to go, was very informative during the entire trip, was super flexible all day long, and even was nice enough to stop and allow us to get some groceries on the way home. We could not have asked for more out of our tour guide! Book Marjut if you can! She is truly fantastic!Great day with a great tour guide!
