I know very well all the wine areas near Verona (Valpolicella, Bardolino, Custoza, Franciacorta, Prosecco, Soave, Trento), since I like spending my free time visiting the different wineries and meeting the producers. If you'd like to spend some with me, we can enjoy some nice wines from small local producers, and taste the difference between the various wines we produce around Verona. I live in the countryside, so I love the contact with nature, so I usually like to have the tastings not only at the winery but also at some places which are special for me, like in the middle of the vineyards, or in an ancient Medieval Villa, or even by the pool if you come in the summer. We can also pair the wines with some local food, the area is famous for cheese and salami, and even visit the farmers who make them! If the weather is nice we can enjoy a walk in the vineyards, to be able to feel the connection between the wine and the terroir|

Martina picked us up at our apartments and drove us to the Valpolicella region where we enjoyed tastings at two different wineries. Martina, being from a wine-making family, had great background knowledge of the area and the processes in the vineyard and the winery leading to the production of the final product. An enthusiastic, interactive and genial host, Martina was able to convey the knowledge in a complete way and increased our understanding of the different requirements to produce the finished products emanating from the region. We went to her friends winery first and had an introductory wine tasting, paired with local cheeses and meats (yummy!), then on to Martina's family winery wit more exploration of the processes and tastings of their selected wines (excellent). But not only the wine - before we returned to Verona we were treated to a scenic tour through the hills overlooking Verona, including the views from a retreat/ monastic area which were spectacular. All in all a wonderful excursion into the world of wines in this region. Wir (2 Personen) haben am 06.09.24 eine wundervolle kulinarische und zeitgeschichtliche Reise durch Verona gemacht. Begleitet wurden wir von Martina, die perfekt auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist. Sie hat uns viel über Verona historisch und neuzeitlich erzählt. Es war eine sehr entspannte Zeit (4 h). Wir hatten im Vorfeld ein paar mal gechattet und schon war alles perfekt. Da wir weder fließend italienisch noch englisch sprechend sind, war für uns die perfekt deutschsprachige Martina ein unglaubliches Glück. Wenn wir wieder noch Verona kommen, werden wir mit Sicherheit Martina wieder treffen. Und wir werden wiederkommen.@Martina: vielen Dank für die wundervollen ErinnerungenWundervolle Eindrücke

Es war ein toller Nachmittag mit Martina, wir haben wahnsinnig viel über Verona erfahren & es hat super Spaß gemacht! Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, mehr geht nicht. Danke auch für den Restaurant Tip- wir hatten dort das beste Dinner unseres Urlaubs!! Grossartige Stadtführung!

Wir wurden von Martina in Verona an viele verschiedene Orte geführt, um typische Getränke und Lecketbissen kennenzulernen- ein Ort schöner und interessanter als der nächste! Martina hat uns einen tollen Einblick in die Vielfalt der Ostseite des Gardasees gegeben. Sie hat uns viele Details zur Geschichte der Gegend und rund um den hiesigen Wein erzählt. Bei der abschliessenden Weinverkostung haben wir in gemütlicher Atmosphäre alle restlichen Fragen stellen können. Das war eine ganz besondere Stadtführung!. Martina hat uns individuell die Geschichte und Sehenswürdigkeiten von Verona nahe gebracht und wie nebenbei zu kulinarischen Leckerbissen der Region eingeladen. Das würde man als Individualtourist niemals so erleben. Uns sie spricht phantastisch deutsch. Ein wunderbares Erlebnis. Vielen Dank Martinaeine tolle kulinarische Stadtführung

Wir hatten die Tour für 4 Personen (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder - 12 und 14 Jahre) gebucht. Martina, unser Guide war pünktlich am Treffpunkt und auch die Kommunikation voher war perfekt. Wir konnten schon mal uns vorher austauschen, was wir gerne essen und was nicht. Martina hat uns zielsicher durch Verona geführt und uns auch ein paar wichtige Geschichtsdaten zur Stadt und den Sehenswürdigkeiten erzählt. Das war nicht nur eine Food Tour, sondern eine gute Kombination. Die ausgewählten Lokale (man würde es als neudeutsch "Streetfood" bezeichnen) waren perfekt und hätte man als Tourist ohne Ortskenntnisse nicht gefunden oder nicht besucht. Man kann auch teilweise die Produkte im Laden kaufen und mitnehmen. Hab ich für eine Art Chutney auch gemacht. Besonders der Nudelladen und der Eisladen hat es uns angetan. Auch ging Martina auf individuelle Wünsche (Wein, Fleisch) ein. Martina hatte einen sehr schnellen Schritt durch die Stadt. Etwas mehr Gemütlichkeit während der Tour wäre okay gewesen. Die Aussage "10 Tastings" ist etwas irreführend. Wir waren an 6 Stationen mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten. Wir hatten dort verschiedene Gerichte. Aber wie die 10 Tastings gezählt werden ist schwer zu sagen. Schwierig war immer das Aufteilen der Snacks. Z.b. waren 6 verschiedene belegte Brote auf dem Tisch. Jeder wollte jedes Brot probieren. Das war nicht ganz einfach. Ich würde empfehlen ein Messer mitzunehmen. Die Dauer war mit ca. 3 Stunden angegeben. Nach 2.5 Stunden waren wir fertig. Zu viert haben wir knapp 280 Euro bezahlt. Uns hat es gut gefallen. Preis vielleicht etwas zu hoch.Essenstour Verona
