Hello everyone!! My name is Martina and I am a Tour Guide and Personal Shopper of Florence.

Here some information about me to get to know me better.

I have started to travel by my self since I was 15 and I had incredible studying experiences abroad, like in South Africa, Switzerland and Germany. All these trips helped me improve foreign languages and understand other people culture and habits.

I have always loved being surrounded by people and sharing our stories and our ideas and this is one of the reasons why I decided to become a tour guide.

After I graduated in International Relations and Asian Studies and after I spent a post degree semester in China to improve my chinese language skills, I came back to Italy and I took the license to become tour guide of Florence.

I have also specialized in shopping tours because I think everyone has to have the chance to discover the amazing shops hidden in the city that offer incredible craftman products, as well as the famous italian brands known all over the world.

Last but not least, I am food lover and I think that in order to really live the city as a local, you need to eat like Italians do. And I am really good at eating!!

My other passions are Salsa dance and theatre acting.

I had an incredible time on the History of Florence: Famous Medici Family & sprinkles of the local artesians I wanted to see with Martina through Withlocals. From the start, Martina was both professional and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere while sharing her vast knowledge. She expertly tailored the tour to match my interests, which made the experience even more personal and engaging. Martina was so engaging and pleasant the kids loved her and the adults also got plenty of information. She was first class all the way. She set up a scavenger hunt for the kids so they stayed focused and tailored it to our requests. Highly recommend Martina. Loved our tour

We had a wonderful tour of Florence with Martina! Our 11 year old daughter, who does not like tours, could not stop raving about her. We loved her knowledge and her positive energy. She was engaging the entire time and we loved how her stories brought the city to life. Martina also went above and beyond to give us recommendations for Naples (since we were going there later in the week). Overall, we cannot recommend Martina more! We hope to have another tour with her next time we are in Florence.Wonderful Tour of Florence with Martina!

Martina provided a tour of Florence that was completely customized to our interests. Her knowledge of city history and passion for storytelling made the city come alive for us. We got to visit some artisans working in their shops, which is something we would have never found in our own. You cannot go wrong booking Martina.Amazing Amazing

This is our first experience With Locals, and we couldn't be happier. Martina made our introduction to Florence such a joy. She was welcoming, gracious, and engaging. Her descriptions of what we were seeing as we traversed between the Duomo and PonteVecchio made us feel at home in her town, and she introduced us to the proprietor of a traditional paper shop who introduced beautiful paper making techniques. Martina was absolutely brilliant. We were a large group of 8 (2 families) with ages ranging from 11 years old to 60 but we were all catered for on this walking tour of Florence. It was a wonderfully curated tour of major historical sites, artisan shops, the best local treats and everyone’s favourite.. gelato! I personally learnt lots about Florence and it was wonderful to have a local’s perspective - something guide books can never really offer. We cannot recommend Martina highly enough - she was engaging and warm and we left with a number of great suggestions of further places to explore and visit for the duration of our stay in Florence. Our family had an absolutely wonderful time on this walking tour with Martina. To begin, the tour was completely personalized to our interests. We desired to see local artisans, learn the history of Florence through the lens of the Medici family, and to explore Renaissance medicine in Florence. Martina designed a tour with all of this taken into consideration. She was warm and engaging, and interacted with the entire family, including the children. We were engrossed by the architecture and history, transported back in time to the Renaissance, with Martina as the narrator of the story. In addition to the lovely tour, Martina gave us advice on additional sites/shops to visit during the rest of our stay. She also made herself available to answer any questions during our entire stay. Martina was outstanding! I could not recommend a tour guide more highly!A lovely walk through a charming city

We definitely made the right choice! We had an unforgettable day in Florence, thanks to our amazing tour guide, Martina. Her deep knowledge and passion for the city truly enhanced our experience. We began at Santa Croce, where Martina's insights into its historical significance were fascinating. At Piazza della Signoria, she brought the square's sculptures and political history to life. Crossing Ponte Vecchio, Martina shared intriguing stories about the iconic bridge. Lunch at Restaurant Antico Fattore was delightful, with Martina recommending perfect local dishes. We then strolled along Via Calzaiuoli to reach the awe-inspiring Duomo, where Martina's explanations of the architectural marvels were captivating. At the Accademia Gallery, her information of Michelangelo's David and the works of art was enthralling. A delicious gelato break at La Strega Nocciola provided a sweet respite. Finally, we crossed Piazza della Repubblica to shop on Via Tornabuoni, where Martina's insights into Florentine fashion history rounded off our tour beautifully. Martina made our day in Florence truly exceptional! Her knowledge of the city and where to go made this a special part of our trip! Incredibile giornata (Amazing day)!
