Hi everybody,

I'm Matteo Fusini and I was born in Florence 44 years ago. I have always lived in this amazing city. I also studied here I got a degree in political science at the University of Florence. Living in the "cradle of the Reinassance", I have always been an art and history enthusiast as my father and my grandfather were, before me. For this reason some years ago I joined a professional class of the Regione Toscana , the region of Italy where Florence is, to become a professional Tour Guide and .. here I am!! I'm a licensed tour guide of Florence and Tuscany. I love my job and I love to share the things I learnt about Florence with all the travellers who are here on holiday. . I look forward to telling you all the secrets of this incredible city. it'not only a job , it's a mission.

Matteo was such a warm & informative guide, we had many Withlocals tours booked in Italy but Matteo was by far our favourite. We had 3 hours with him & time flew by, he filled every moment with an interesting story, fact or to crack a joke. He showed us the best that Florence had to offer & made sure to not waste any time. The tour with Matteo was extremely interesting. Matteo was very knowledgeable and tended to opt for the lesser known but equally important landmarks and art, overlaying the historical relevance of the pieces we saw. While avoiding the large crowds. It was a really great tour and would highly recommend Matteo to others. Excellent tour

Three of us really enjoyed our time with Matteo. He took note of our preference to concentrate on lesser known/quieter streets & areas (as we’d visited the hot spots on previous trips). Breakfast venue was great as was market experience, enabling us to taste food as we went. His knowledge of art/history/architecture is extensive but he made everything accessible and fun and finished with great restaurant recommendations. Thanks, Matteo, for showing us a different side to Florence. Will definitely recommend you to friends. A different side to Florence

Matteo was a great communicator prior to the tour and just did an amazing job of giving us a great overview of Florence in the short time we had. He was also very courteous ensuring safety as I am not always steady on my feet. I highly recommend Matteo and hope our paths cross again!Florence in a day is possible with Matteo!

Mateo was professional from start to finish. From his timely communication, his exactness in coordinating a rendezvous, to most importantly, the depth of knowledge that he shared with us, all of which brought Florence to life for us! We were three ladies experiencing Florence for the first time and he took much history and made it understandable. He did the same thing for us with understanding the paintings and sculptures we were looking at. I can’t imagine not having hired a professional guide and Matteo was everything he promised to be. Matteo is an absolute expert in history and knew so much about everything. I was so pleased and I truly believe having a personal guide is so much better than the large groups tours using the headsets that never work. I learned so much about art in how it represents a historical story of the time, architecture, the families of Florence and also some salacious gossip of these noble families. Great time and I highly recommend Matteo. Matteo os amazing and his tour is too!
