Hi, I’m Maxime. I was born and raised in Paris, where I studied philosophy and history. I enjoy eating, reading, learning, and climbing (join me on Sunday evenings if you’re up for it!). But enough of the basics—let’s dive into the details.

While I love pedaling quickly along the banks of the Seine—the only riverbank listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!—my true motto when exploring Parisian streets or wandering through museums is to take my time.

You might think one of my favorite things to do in Paris is to wake up early, sip a good coffee, and stroll in the soft morning light. Romantic? Absolutely. Unique? Without a doubt. It’s a magical way to experience the city before the crowds arrive. But do I do this often? Let’s be honest I’m just like you. I usually prefer to stay in bed, even in a city as enchanting as Paris.

So, what do I actually do regularly? Let me share a few examples:

I love wandering into bookshops, reading in a row the back covers of books without buying a singe one just to get a glimpse into an author’s mind.

I enjoy tasting new foods or drinks and giving my personal assessment, as if I were a food critic. (I’m not one—at least, not yet!)

And finally, I can stand for hours in front of a painting, jotting down my thoughts in a pocket notebook. Sometimes I return the next day with more insights; other times, I move on to painting entirely new.

This tour was a wonderful way to see the vibrant and bustling Monmartre! Maxime shared his love for the food, the experience of food as part of the culture, and for Paris in general. He is a true professional and a student of his craft, not only sharing the history of the foods we tried and helping us understand what made each stop special, but also, explaining the history of Monmartre in a way that kept even my 16 year old engaged! For those that may wonder, the food was plenty and we were very full by the end! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maxime for any of the tours he offers - you won't be disappointed. An absolute pleasure!

We love the 10 Taste WithLocals and our time with Maxime was absolutely fantastic. He adjusted his original plan to be closer to our VRBO and introduced us to a neighborhood we have never been to and would have never known to explore. It was fabulous and a fast new favorite in Paris. My husband even went back to one of the bakeries the next morning because we loved it so much.Wonderful Experience

I have been on many tours and this was one of my favorites. Maxime tailored the tour to our preferences (no shellfish) and took the time to research delightful hole in the wall food places which a tourist would never stumble upon. In addition he threw in local gossip tidbits which made it a very engaging experience. Definitely choose him!One of my favorite tours

We booked our Montmartre tour with Max on a rainy and gloomy winter day. Max was a great sport, led us through hidden alleys and passageways. We stopped to warm up in churches and coffee shop. The area is spectacular and it helped to have a knowledgeable guide to discover gems off the beaten path. Maxime is a history and art buff, and will gladly engage in philosophical and cultural discussions. Book him if these subjects resonate with you too. A very knowledgeable account of the history and architecture of Paris. We discovered little streets and passages that took us to iconic squares and buildings. Maxime was pleasant and interested in our story and points of view. the Marais as you have never seen it.
