What a lovely afternoon I had with Xavier! I was happy to have his assistance navigating my way out of Bruges, and loved all the information he shared about the town and surrounding area’s history. After an easy ride to Nantes we stopped for a drink in the lovely town and returned a different tour so I could see more of the area. The bike trip itself was great. Beautiful scenery and countryside. The previous reviews raved about Xavier, but we, unfortunately, saw a different side of him. He rode ahead of us the entire time, and did not stay with our group of three. He made sarcastic comments. When our friend apologized for her slower pedaling, he quipped that they’ve learned to accept it. When we wanted to stop to take a photo, he said there would be better spots ahead. My sister wanted to run and look at some passing cows in town, and he replied, annoyed, Go if you have to. In the town of Damme, Xavier told us we would stop to have a drink. When we sat down , my friend said she’d like to order fries and he said, No, we don’t have time. So, I suggested we just go to the market and get bottled water. He insisted on staying at the restaurant. When the bill came, he did not offer to pay for his share, and never even said Thank You to me for paying for his drink. On the way back to town, Xavier rode his bike way ahead. There were some tricky spots to navigate, a bridge, and some turns. He did not wait. If my sister and I had not waited for our friend to catch up, she would have been long gone, as she went straight and we had turned. Luckily we saw her and shouted for her to turn around. Xavier had no idea about this, or the fact that our friend fell twice. What could have been a wonderful experience turned out to be stressful and disappointing. Pretty Countryside

We went on a 17km bike tour with Xavier from Brugge to Damme and back. He made it very interesting and quite memorable. It has been the highlight of our trip through Belgium. Learned loads of history and thoroughly enjoyed the ride into the peaceful countryside. Mary C - USAA memorable ride

Xavier is very knowledgeable about Bruges and it’s history. Ride to Damme was easy and we saw countryside we would not have seen otherwise. Damme is a very picturesque town and Xavier knew it’s history. A beautiful ride

Having met Xavier at the station we headed off to explore. He was interesting and informative, the cycling was easy to manage along cycle lanes and out to Damme. Damme is a very attractive city. It was a real highlight of our weekend and can't recommend the tour enough.Enjoying tranquility and city views

We had the most incredible time on our bike tour with Xavier. The route was beautiful, and the city tour is an amazing experience. Xavier’s knowledge about Bruges was truly impeccable and impressive. He was the best guide and we are grateful for his kindness and guidance. This was really the perfect way to spend half a day in Bruges. Highly recommend! The perfect Bruges activity!

We booked a 3-1/2 hour bike tour to the countryside with Xavier. The day of the tour was rainy and windy so Xavier suggested options of cancelling or using the time for an extended city tour. We are glad we opted to go - Xavier is an outgoing, fun, and extremely knowledgeable guide. We biked all over the central area and to out of the way places. We learned a great deal about the architecture and history of the city, plus several very interesting extra stories. We decided Xavier’s “plan B” tour was an excellent alternative. We heartily recommend Xavier - just be prepared for riding on cobblestones!Exceeded expectations

This was one of the prettiest bike rides I've been on and my husband said it was the highlight of Bruges for him!! You can tell Xavier really loves to show off the beauty of the countryside and loves the history of Dammes and Bruges! The ride is mostly on dedicated bike paths outside the city, so it was definitely less stressful than riding in Amsterdam. Would recommend this ride as a great way to escape the tourist crowds!! A beautiful ride!!
