Six years ago I gave life to a project, with the idea of shooting documentaries about each area of Sicily I visit, to document it through short videos and tell it to the viewers. Thanks to this idea, asking hospitality to the municipalities and, in return, I make a video, I have been discovering hundreds of hidden natural, urban and archeological gems.

What's the aim of my ''withlocals'' profile? Show the travellers how much-hidden beauties we have in Sicily.

I want you to experience Sicily deeply as Sicilians do: this is my aim.

For this reason, thanks to my work of documentaries around Sicily (subtitled in English and many other languages) I am also known as “the popularizer of Sicilianity”!

Mirco was an excellent guide and gave us a fantastic local tour of the VERY touristy town of Taormina. We saw sights and learned about thr history of the town that we wouldn't have normally seen on our own. It feels like we got a perspective of the city that tourists do not normally get to see or learn about. Mirco was so kind and flexible with us as well. We would highly recommend taking a tour with Mirco anytime!Mirco is awesome!

We were a group of 5 from 19 to mid 50’s and we all found this tour interesting and informative. Mirco was able to tell us a lot about the history of Taormina and brought this to life with old photos on his iPad. We managed to avoid the crowds by using back streets and saw some interesting buildings and heard interesting stories. A very nice introduction to our stay here.Family holiday tour

Mirco is an excellent guide. We met in the town square by the fish market. From there Mirco led us on a fun food adventure around the center of town. We tried many of the local foods and drinks. Mirco is intelligent knowledgeable and funny. We had a terrific tour. Wonderful Saturday Afternoon

We spent half a day with Mirco passing through the less travelled alleyways and secret corners of this wonderful city. Mirco obviously enjoys passing on his knowledge and his absolute love of all things Sicilian. His English is perfect which combined with his enthusiasm for the local history meant this was an engaging, informative addition to our stay in the city.
