Hello Everybody,

I am a licensed tour guide based in Rome. I was born and raised in Rome, then I traveled the world because of my father's job. I came back to Rome where I graduated from college in History and Philosophy with a minor ( I would rather say: a true passion!) for art history and archeology. I lived in New York for several years and then I came back to Rome where I am blessed to "play tourist in my own city" as a job.

I love my city, the Eternal City, which means " no matter who the ruler is" this city is eternal. I love to share the history of some of the most important and famous venues in town, but I also love to make my clients feel "insiders" when they explore Rome and Italy. Living abroad gave me the chance to see my country with different eyes and actually, I love being " a cultural bridge" for people who visit Rome.

I do a lot of tours, but I am also very flexible when it comes to matching my client's expectations. I love helping my clients to tailor their trip to Italy from the moment I have the privilege to receive their first email.

I will make sure to make your visit to Rome and Italy an unforgettable "album" of memories. I have a network of people helping me to do so. While you are in Rome, you would like to visit Pompei? Our family of 4 had a great time with Monica visiting the Coliseum and Parthenon. Her expertise in finding the hidden gems and helping us understand the history of the Romans was very good. We wouldn't have been able to see or understand a fraction of this history without Monica's as our guide. The whole family enjoyed the experience, and still talks about it today.Great Experience in Rome

We decided to go for a guide in Rome last minute and were so lucky that Monica was available. She was very flexible to accommodate our schedule and recommended a great itinerary off the traditional tourist tracks. She was super knowledgeable and managed to keep our 2 teenage boys interested in history for the entire tours of Jewish gettho and Colosseum/ Forum Romanum. Altogether a very pleasant and enjoyable tour. Monica smoothly managed to streamline all the queuing, a big plus when going with kids. Monica adjusted the tour explanations for the kids, kept it very interactive, plenty of interesting information without overloading. Nice pace without rushing. We like how Monica made connection between ancient history and modern era. It felt like going with a knowledgeable friend for a nice walk. Trully enjoyable experience

Monica is very user friendly. She got on great with our children. She is cleary very knowledgable (I did a Roman archaeology degree) and delivered the information, especially to the children, in a clear, fun and a way which they could understand. I really enjoyed her company and have no hesitation in recommending her. Monica is a star!!!

We had a wonderful tour of the Collosseum and Forum Romanum with Monica. She's extremely knowledgeable and also very kind.
