Hello there. I’m Monica. Originally a Dundonian, I’ve lived in Edinburgh since I was 17, so now, many, many years later I’m an Edinburgh local and I love the city. We’re a wonderful wee country here in Scotland; close to beaches, glens and mountains so there is so much to share with you. And of course, the food, from white pudding suppers to take away curries, the whisky, the beer and the gin. Then there’s the history! The literature! Turning a corner and having your breath being taken away by a new view. Walking alongside the ghosts of past generations.

I visited for my first time, we took a tour of the castle, stopped in a fantastic little pub, walked through greyfriar etc. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip and Monica was supper friendly and made my trip a memorable one by making a few amendments by request. Including a picture with the grave of he who shall not be named for my daughter. Fantastic experience

My husband and I had an amazing tour with Monica in late September. She was very personable and we felt like old friends fairly quickly. Her knowledge of the City and history was perfect. She gave wonderful recommendations for things to do and places to eat/drink for the rest of our stay, and they all turned out to be perfect. One of her pub recommendations was so good that we went there a few times over the course of the week. We’d absolutely recommend Monica for anyone looking for a good walking tour.We had a wonderful tour with Monica!

Monica and her kindness, insight and wisdom made Edinburgh even more magical!!! She took us to very local places and gave us incredible insight on how to make our stay memorable!!!! We had the privilege of taking a tour of Edinburgh with Monica in July. We enjoyed it very much. She is a very knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions we had about the Edinburgh. We would definitely meet Monica again for a future tour and maybe tour another area of beautiful Edinburgh. Thank you for great recommendations as well! We tried the Cullen Skink it was delicious!!

I recently visited Scotland and the first thing I did when I got off the plane was take a tour of Edinburgh Castle with Monica. She is wonderful. I got a comprehensive history of the castle and Scotland’s people. There were so many interesting details. She gave me enough time to explore and answered all my questions. It was like visiting a friend who took me around her city. Monica is super friendly and funny. We talked a lot about the castle as well as other subjects. I felt super comfortable even when traveling solo. This was a highlight of visiting Edinburgh and I was really happy. I also appreciated Monica’s travel tidbits to enhance my experience in Edinburgh.
