We had an incredible time exploring Istanbul — from iconic sights to unforgettable meals — but the absolute highlight was the 4 hours we spent with Muhammed in Kadıköy. Muhammed was a phenomenal guide. His deep knowledge of Turkish culture and genuine passion for the local cuisine made the experience truly special. He took us to hidden gems we never would have found on our own, each stop offering authentic, absolutely delicious food. His English was excellent, and he immediately built a great rapport with everyone in our 12-person group. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the afternoon with a very well-connected local friend. Thank you, Muhammed, for a truly unforgettable experience!Muhammed was the highlight of Istanbul

We had a 24 hour layover in Istanbul and thought that if we wanted to make the most of it, we should get a tour guide. That’s when we found this site and Muhammed who was available to book a tour with us that afternoon. We didn’t have time to do his typical tour so he worked with us to curate a tour that fit our needs and wants. Thanks again Muhammed for showing us your beautiful city! When our planned weekend in Istanbul was cut short to only one day, we were fortunate to find Muhammad on withlocals.com. We connected Sunday morning and I told him we only had that same day and we wanted to see as much as possible! I was relieved when Muhammad was up to the task and was willing to spend the entire afternoon showing us around. The Blue Mosque was a must but then we made our way to more local spots (spice market, pastry shop, etc), wrapping up with a Bosphorus boat cruise. He took incredible photos on the boat tour and a beautiful family photo with our children. This was a great introduction to Istanbul, thanks Muhammad !!Last-minute Istanbul

Muhammed is an authentic, charming and knowledgeable young man. he took me on a 6 hour private tour, showing me the city on foot with stops in hidden gems and away from the usual crowds, from best places to eating Tantuni and Baklava to buying spices. Both European and Asian sides were covered in the trip, and his explanations actually piqued me interest in Turkish history. Excellent communication, easy booking, accommodated every demand with a big smile, and even complimented me by telling me to walk slower, despite me being 29 years older than him :) It was not just a good tour, I had a great time with good company and friendly conversations.A great choice

I was only able to spend a few hours with Muhammad but I can’t recommend him highly enough. Lots of insight. He got me to go over to the Asian side of the city and a ride on the ferry. Thank you. Made it special…and a lovely guy!Muhammed was awesome

I wanted to follow up with the second time that I was able to meet up with Mohamed.. It was a really good and sunny day to see the Asian side. I cannot express how attentive Mohamed is to physical needs and listening to what the client was trying to do. When you say you want the same experiences that most tourist talk about, but off the beaten path away from the tourist prices and crowds, Mohamed is your personal tour guide. His knowledge of the history of the city, relaxing places to visit, markets that are not in the “grand bazar” but just as good, are on point. I will always use a Mohamed when ever I am back in Istanbul. But next time, it’s going to be an extreme sports visit with sky diving over Istanbul and a hot air balloon ride. Until next time, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Mohamed. Amazing experience

When I was able to speak with Mohamed to build my shoot he was very easy to speak to. His English is amazing and historical knowledge of all areas famous and not so famous is stellar. He understood I only wanted 2 or 3 major touristy visits/shoots and the rest in areas that only someone who lived in Turkey knows about. He was attentive to breaks and plenty of breaks to rest the legs and enjoy the sights. In addition he was very helpful with my purchase of a lamp and shopping. He even went back to the shop after the holiday weekend to retrieve the tracking and shipping container number. 5 stars for Mohamed! Photo shoot off the beaten path
