Hi, I am Nguon Sominea but I also have a nickname (Lux) I have been touring this beautiful Siem Reap city & temples around Cambodia for over 12 years and I have done many tours with this site (Withlocals) for over 8 years now.

One of the most important qualifications for a great tour, especially when you need to be up and out by 4:30 am, is to have a great tour guide. Coming down to our lobby, Lux and his driver were already waiting for us. Lux speaks excellent English and his experience with this tour was evident by getting us to a great vantage point of watching the sun rise at Angkor Wat, guiding us through the early morning dark to sit on the moat. After watching a beautiful sunrise, Lux guided us to various parts of Angkor Wat, giving background and history as we exchanged information on relative historical and religious events. Cold water was provided throughout and we broke in between to eat at a small restaurant where there were plenty of choices that appealed to a western pallet (we recommend the banana pancakes) and service was great. We then continued on our tour with Lux and returned back to our hotel just as the hottest part of the day was emerging. Angkor Wat is huge and many people take 3 days to tour it. Having a great tour guide like Lux made our one day trip extremely full and satisfying, as well as stress-free with the pick up, return and organization by Lux. We were taken on a truly wonderful tour by Lux and his driver. We were picked up punctually at our hotel at 5:00 and driven to Angkor Wat to experience the sunrise, then we entered the temple grounds and had plenty of time to look around. We also visited Ta Prohm and Bayon Temple. Throughout the entire journey Lux conveyed all the amazing historic facts - he is a fund of knowledge and we learnt so much about Cambodia, its history, customs and people. He has a very pleasant manner and we greatly enjoyed his company. We highly recommend him as a guide - the tour will remain an unforgettable experience. Thank you LuxAmazing Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour

We enjoyed all Ngoun (Lux) shared on our tour. We especially enjoyed his insights into the local culture, religion, and political dynamics. We traveled on foot and by tuk tuk to see a lot in a short amount of time! Highly recommended!Great knowledge!

We highly recommend this tour! We just came back from our travels and this was miterally the highlight of our trip. Not only was the tour amazing but we got so much background on everything we saw. Lux was the best and made our travel memorable. He knows where to go and we even did a temple where we were alone! Also don't hesitate to book a sunset tour! Unique experience and awesome guide!

We booked Ngoun (Lux) for a 7-hour private tour of Angkor Wat with our 1-year-old son. We wanted to start at 9.30am instead of doing the sunrise tour, which was no problem for Lux. He was flexible for the rest of the day too - very useful and necessary when travelling with a small child! He adapted the day's plan to fit in with our needs and was very accommodating. The air conditioned minivan was a great place for the baby to nap throughout the day too. Lux was super friendly and knowledgeable and had lots of good facts to share about everything. We saw a good range of temples and thanks to Lux's well-thought-out planning, we also dodged a lot of the crowds. Thanks for an amazing day! 😀Flexible, friendly and easy going!

Absolute gem of a guide and a whiz at photography. I have him to thank for an excellent two days at Angkor Wat and Khulen National Park. He's an expert guide who takes photo studio portrait quality pics (with a really nice bokeh effect) on your Android or Apple phone. Absolute gem

Ngoun took my wife and I on a one day trip to Ankhor Wat and other temples + a one day tour to a waterfall, the lying Buddha and the floating village. We particularly enjoyed the amazing tour Ngoun had put together for us on day one. we always enjoyed the second day. Ngoun was professional, kind, interesting, patient, knowledgable, perfect english speaker, well-tuned in to our preferences. we truly enjoyed Ngoun's company and expertise through out the trip. Our best recommendation.Ngoun is wonderful!

We had an excellent experience with Lux and his driver visiting the floating village and some of the more remote temples making it a full day excursion. Lux is very knowledgeable being able to explain what we were seeing and answering all our additional questions, and both he and his driver also had an extra service touch such as cold water and cold refreshing scented towels throughout the day. Excellent day out
