My curiosity for traveling and getting to know new cultures in the world was always evident.

My life in tourism has already taken me to travel and get to know different realities, from the Scottish Highlands to check out the madness of the Spanish Islands.

But it was my country that I fell in love with, its history, traditions, gastronomy, the relaxed way we always find solutions to problems.

I think the main feature on my tours is the enthusiasm.

I am a professional guide based in the city of Lisbon, but I know Portugal and islands well and for this reason, if you need a guide and want to get to know Portugal in a more exciting, curious and historical way, i can make the difference on my experience and knowledge of 11 years in this market of tour guiding.

We had the pleasure of having Luis as our tour guide on our recent trip to Portugal. There is not enough space to tell you how fun and informative Luis was for the entire family. Food, history, architecture, customs.... Luis covered it all in a fascinating and fun way. His ability to connect with everyone in our family was fantastic. His English is superb and he went above and beyond in every aspect of our tour. I would also like to point out that his communication was exceptional from booking through each of the tours and beyond. We did not have Luis. We had Jorge. Luis had such fantastic reviews and I was really looking forward to his tour. However he had another commitment so he offered another guide in his place. I didn't want to cancel and try to find another tour since it was only a few days away so he suggested Jorge in his place. Jorge was nice and provided the standard tour but I feel we could have seen more. Jorge might be used to having tourists stop to shop, have lunch and admire scenery for extended periods of time but we wanted more tour experiences. We did not even see the Pena Palace which I was looking forward to. It may have been different if we had communicated with Jorge directly before the tour.Sintra Tour

Wir hatten eine private Tour mit Kollegen gebucht. Alle hatten sehr unterschiedliche Erwartungen, die Luis ohne Ausnahme übertroffen hat. Es gab für jeden etwas: Ein wenig Stadtgeschichte, einen traditionellen Aperitiv, versteckte Restaurants und wunderbare und unbekannte Genüsse. Alle sind begeistert gewesen. We had a wonderful day trip to Sintra. Even though Pena Palace was closed, we had a great time checking out the main town and Regaleira. We had a delicious lunch and then headed on to the windy ocean overlook and Cascais for gelato. Our family of four (two kids) very much enjoyed all the sites and trivia and getting all of our questions answered throughout the day. The trip was tailored to our needs including a different pick up and drop off location to fit with other activities we had planned. We also had some questions before the tour that were promptly answered and helped us in planning. And we got some tips for things to check out the next day on our drive south. We had a fabulous time with Luis. He took us on a wonderful tour. Luis is a good storyteller and gave us a great overview of the area and provided historical context so that we could appreciate the towns, palaces, neighborhoods, monuments and other sights. My wife and I spent a full day with Luis visiting Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos. Luis has a warm and engaging personality, and he made us feel welcome from the start. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of Portugal, including its history and culture, and he is articulate and eloquent in sharing his knowledge. His English is excellent, and he also speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. He was sensitive to our needs and he customized the tour to our preferences. He gave us 9 1/2 hours, over and above the promised 8. In addition he gave us valuable advice to help us plan the remainder of or vacation.
