Hi there! Nice to meet you

Pere Ignasi

Hi! I’m Pere Ignasi, but you can call me Peri 😊. I’m a Spanish native who made Japan my home, and I’ve been sharing my passion for this incredible country as a tour guide for years!

I offer tours all over Kansai, but my heart belongs to Osaka and Kobe, two cities full of life, history, and amazing food 🍜! I speak English, Spanish, and Catalan, so you can feel comfortable exploring in your language.

My journey as a guide started when friends visited me in Japan. I loved showing them around, taking them to the best restaurants 🍣, and helping them discover hidden gems. That passion turned into my profession, and now I get to do what I love every day!

Whether you're into history 🏛️, food 🍡, pop culture 🎮, or off-the-beaten-path experiences 🌿, I’ll make sure your tour is tailored to your interests. Want to try new dishes? Explore ancient temples? Visit anime and gaming spots? I’m here to make it happen!

I also have years of experience working with kids, so if you're traveling as a family, I’ll design fun and engaging activities that everyone, adults and children alike, will enjoy.

The best part of my job? Meeting people from all over the world 🌎, sharing stories, and creating unforgettable memories. I’m very talkative, so get ready for a fun and lively tour!

Let me show you the magic of Kansai, its culture, flavors, and hidden treasures. I can’t wait to explore with you! 🗺️

My wife and I highly recommend a tour with Pere. He gave us a wonderful insight into Kobe and Japanese culture. We strolled around Kobe trying a few street food snacks before enjoying a delicious Kobe beef teppanyaki meal and a sake museum tour/tasting.Great tour and insight of Kobe

Pere tailored a tour for us that included a cooking class! He went through so much extra effort to find a cooking class for us and the class was over the top! We learned to make a multi layered Japanese Breakfast in the setting of an old sake brewery, converted into a sake tasting and pairing center! The owners’ hosted us and the wife chef was patient and very expert in her teaching skills! Following the class and delicious consumption, Pere continued the tour with his expert knowledge of the area. He made sure we were safely back to our accommodations as well! I highly recommend Pere and the nadagogo sakedokoro.Top Notch Food and Sake Tour

Although it took 2 hours longer than it should have for us to clear immigration from the ship Peri was there and stayed in contact on WhatsApp with us the whole time which was reassuring to know he hadn’t assumed we were just a “No Show”. Obviously the 2 hour delay getting off the ship meant that we then had to shorten our time together but he laid out our options and timings and let us choose our priorities for the time we had left. We then went on to have a great time going up mount Maya followed by a Japanese locals restaurant in Kobe. It was in a place where we probably wouldn’t have gone as tourists on our own, but we had a great time trying local specialities of the area and some Sake before returning to our cruise ship. It seems that we saw more and had a much better time than those on the Ship’s organised tours. Walking with Peri in Kobe

We had an amazing tour w Pere. What a wonderful interesting person. We learned a lot about the history of the area, saw great sights and of course had delicious local food!! We enjoyed going to local places that we would never find on our own and experiencing new dishes. What a fun afternoon. We wish Pere continued success; he is quite an inspiration speaking many languages fluently with a great background in education. Thanks Pere!Fantastic Day in Kobe

Thank you Peri for a fabulous tour of Himeji Castle and Kobe. Your knowledge and information was fascinating. The Kobe dinner at the end of the day was a perfect end - thank you for booking it on our behalf. Wonderful guide

We had a wonderful afternoon with Pere doing the Street Food Tour. He has such a great interest in all things food and took us to sample so many great foods. Pere is very discerning with his recommendations so you will eat very well and enjoy the whole experience! We wouldn't have been able to see and eat so much good food without him :) Great afternoon with Pere!

Short answer: Yes! We’ve done a couple of „10 Tastings“ food tours in Japan and this is definitely different and special. Of course the tour is expensive but then so is high quality Kobe Beef. It’s not something you can do cheaply or if you do find a place selling inexpensive “Kobe beef” you’re probably being ripped off. We had a great afternoon with Peri who gave us great insights into the world of Sake and how it’s made, the background of what makes Kobe beef special and showed us around some fun parts of Kobe. Obviously the highlights were tasting the Sake and Kobe beef. It was also interesting getting to know a perspective on the expat experience from someone who’s moved to Japan and been here a couple of years. Would highly recommend the tour if you want to get to know real Kobe beef!Sake and Kobe Beef: Is it worth it?
