Born and raised in Maastricht I started being a tourguide during my student days. So, you could say I am an experienced guide.

As I have studied history the region around Maastricht is a gem! Long before the Roman period there are traces of human activity to be found around Maastricht.

But history is a living thing because it involves people: People, past, present and future!

This border region between Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands is interesting. Not only because of the three different languages being spoken but also because of its rich history that has given us the way of live we have today!

Wir hatten eine fantastische Tour mit Peter durch Maastricht. Er hat uns die Geschichte der Stadt lebendig und abwechslungsreich nähergebracht, mit vielen interessanten Details, Humor und großer Flexibilität. Die Tour war so spannend, dass er sie sogar länger gemacht hat – und die Zeit ist im Flug vergangen. Wir haben viel gesehen, viel gelernt und gleichzeitig sehr gelacht. Peter was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. He conducted us on a set itinerary around Maastricht which was well thought out, particularly the history of the city. It was particularly interesting for us to hear about Maastricht’s place in the region, so close to Germany and Belgium. Peter had a good personality, a good sense of humour and was very flexible. We had a lovely stroll through the streets and sites in Maastricht as we learned about the history and culture of the area. Our 22 year old also appreciated becoming familiar with the city where she will be studying. Peter was a delightful guide - personable and interactive - with a passion for his roots here and a deep knowledge of history shared with humor and relatable stories!My husband thanked me for this tour!

We had the pleasure of having Peter as our tour guide in Maastricht, and it was a great experience. Although I had been in Maastricht several times before, Peter could bring me to locations I hadn't been to before. Peter is een geweldige gids. Hij weet ontzettend veel van de geschiedenis van Maastricht en vertelt op een enthousiaste manier met humor. Met zijn persoonlijke anekdotes worden zijn verhalen nog leuker. Hij is heel flexibel en goed bereikbaar voor vragen die we van tevoren hadden. Hij heeft ook goede tips gegeven voor goede restaurantjes.
