Cooking with Philippe was a highlight of our trip. Our kids (10&13) really enjoyed cooking a dinner of paella, appetizer, and dessert at Philippe’s apartment; it was comfortable, felt very safe, and engaging with interesting information about Barcelona. We definitely recommend this experience, especially for kiddos who are around our kids ages! Great experience!

I loved that Philippe asked my kids tons of questions regarding their knowledge of dragons and history of the area. They weren’t just talked at, they were engaged through our whole tour. They (and I!) learned a ton and really enjoyed our journey with him through the city. Kids named each dragon we found and even got churros along the way! Thank you so much, Philippe! Great tour!

The most striking part of Philippe's tour was how well he engaged all members of our group. We ranged in age from 4 to 71. Philippe made sure that he had something interesting to say, and to show, to all of us. He had a great rapport with the youngest members, getting them to name the dragons we found. He would not let them name one of them "Bob", a decision I agree with wholeheartedly! He made the little ones laugh, and he made us older types laugh as well. He shared Catalonian views, but welcomed us as valued guests. He knew his stuff, and knew how to share it in an interesting way. I recommend him very highly!Philippe was an excellent tour guide

We had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Philippe during our visit to Barcelona, best decision we made to tour Gaudi's buildings and Segrada Familia. Philippe's knowledge of Barcelona's history, architecture, and customs was impressive, but what truly set him apart was his deep and nuanced understanding of European and world history as well. Every moment with him was filled with insights, engaging stories, and thoughtful connections that brought Gaudi's work, the city of Barcelona and region—and its place in the broader historical context—to life. Philippe has a keen sense of humor and a generous spirit that made our time together feel less like a tour and more like a wonderful conversation with a wise and witty friend. We truly had the best experience possible (biking made the visit even more enjoyable) and left with not just a deeper appreciation of Gaudi's work in Barcelona, but also a genuine admiration for Philippe and his passion for sharing knowledge. Good communication pre-tour, found him easily ahead of our scheduled time. Philippe is very knowledgeable, took the time to understand what we had done already at the beginning of the tour to tailor our experience. We are a family of five, and he could relate well to all of us (Parents, young adult children and pre-teen). He tried to teach us a lot of the history through quizzing us along the way. Philippe is also very well traveled, and could relate the information based on our background (we’re Canadian). He also had good recommendations for us to complete our trip in Barcelona including restaurants and shops. Learned a lot about the City!

Phillipe is excellent! When we had trouble obtaining a cab to meet him, he came to us and modified the tour route based on our new starting location. He was very accommodating and considerate of my husband's mobility issues. His knowledge of Barcelona and the entire region is extensive. Walking Tour of Barcelona
