Hi, I'm Rasheem, a Jamaican who decided to live in Japan to gain a different cultural experience from, Jamaica, the US, Canada and even Europe, so I decided to move to Sapporo, Japan. I can happily say that I haven't regretted my decision. One must be wondering how crazy I must be to move from a tropical climate to a temperate country and one of the snowiest cities in the world. That's the thing, I am crazy for adventure, new cultures and once in a lifetime experiences! I am a hiker, I go on spontaneous adventures and I love going to the beach in the summer and in the winters I go to events and parties.

Sapporo has provided a lot of amazing cultural experiences, that I don't think I would have gotten if I had lived in larger cities like Tokyo or Osaka. This gem in the north gave me an experience that I know I will make into great stories for my future children, grandchildren and anyone who is interested in knowing more. In short, Sapporo, in my opinion is Winter Wonderland in the winter where the city remains vibrant with different cultural activities for the season; a beautiful magical garden in the Spring, the best place to see cultural activities in the summer with manageable temperatures and a maze of vibrant colours in Autumn.

Every season, there's always something to do and places to see in Sapporo, and I want others to experience this amazing feeling you can't get anywhere else. This is why I have decided to be a host, because I want visitors to not only see tourist areas but to also have an opportunity to venture outside of those just like locals.
