Our tour of central Bucharest with Razvan was excellent. He provided a deep and broad overview of Romanian and Bucharest history, both ancient and recent, layering the historical narrative with cultural and social references, and using architectural landmarks as markers for the conversation. His English was superb, and he was animated and conversational, providing interesting asides to answer our questions, and generally being just a wonderful guide! Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great primer on Bucharest and the Romanian experience over the last 500 years, right through and past the 1989 revolution.Excellent Tour!

We had the pleasure of exploring Bucharest with Răzvan as our guide. His deep knowledge and engaging storytelling made the city’s complex history come alive. We began at the Romanian Atheneum, then explored the Royal Palace and Revolution Square, where Răzvan vividly recounted the events of 1989 and the fall of communism. At University Square, he shared the area’s rich academic legacy and its powerful role in recent protests. Walking down Victory Avenue into the old financial district, we learned about the diverse history of the Jewish community and the area’s cultural transformation — a true window into Bucharest’s vibrant past. Razvan was an excellent host. He is extremely knowledgeable on his city and Romania. He explained very well the complex history and expanded his explanations with many old illustrations. He was quite happy to change the itinerary to suit my interests and was not at all locked into a learned script. We had some interesting discussions Razvan was punctual. His vehicle was clean and clearly in good condition. English was perfect / native. Overall, I really enjoyed my two days with Razvan. Excellent Tour of Bucharest and to Sibiu

We booked 3 hours with Răzvan on our recent trip to Bucharest. He asked in advance what we were interested in learning about, and I sent him a list of our interests. Based on my input, he created a detailed itinerary for us, and he walked us around for 4.5 hours, with no extra charge. Răzvan is very knowledgable and had a lot of interesting stories to tell from Romania’s history and the daily life in the country. Unsere Entscheidung, Razvan als unseren exklusiven Guide für unsere 5-köpfige Familie zu buchen war ziemlich spontan, aber es hat super geklappt. Razvan ist ein wunderbarer, offener, humorvoller Mensch, der sich in der Geschichte, Politik, Architektur, Kunst nicht nur von seiner Stadt Bukarest, sondern Rumänien und darüber hinaus unglaublich gut auskennt! Er ist wie eine wandernde Enzyklopädie! Wir haben sehr sehr viele interessante Fakten und Informationen erfahren, die wir sonst bestimmt nie gehört hätten bzw. hören würden. Die Tour selbst und die Themen hätten wir uns selbst wählen können, haben uns aber auf Razvan verlassen und uns überraschen lassen. Alles hat perfekt gepasst, was die Länge und den Verlauf angeht. Im Nachhinein haben wir noch extra Tipps für unseren restlichen Aufenthalt (Sehenswertes, Restaurants, Bars) bekommen. Beeindruckend ist auch die Englisch Kenntnisse von Razvan - wie bei einem Muttersprachler! Fantastisch!! Wir können Razvan wärmstens allen empfehlen, die einen authentischen, erfahrenen Guide für ihre Reise in und außerhalb von Bukarest. Razvan was an excellent guide . He answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. He put a lot of effort and time into the tour. Razvan was truly at the top of all local guides I’ve had in many countries. He was punctual, his English impeccable (we questioned whether he was really from Bucharest - but he is!), he was kind and helpful and tailored the content to our interests, including Jewish history. Razvan also had resource materials to put subject matter in a meaningful context, and he is very well educated, a history scholar and high in emotional intelligence. He could converse on any subject that we broached. All questions were well received and he delved below the surface of the usual tourist information and locations. It was quite an honor to have someone of his caliber lead us through the Old Town area. Razvan was an incredible value and we highly recommend him! Razvan is the BEST! 5* experience
