We really enjoyed our tour with Rita & appreciate her proactiveness in planning our day! Unfortunately Sintra had a bad rain storm the week before & certain palaces remained closed. But Rita quickly figured out an alternative plan & we had a great day! She was super knowledgeable, funny & was very flexible in asking what we were looking for. I really recommend her! Rita is AWESOME. Genuine, innovative, experienced, kind, and great with kids and adult lovers of history and culture. Even our very grumpy 5 year old survived the whole experience and we somehow donned wings with Rita who dramatically minimized any climbing and brought some smiles to the sour complainer among us and gracefully delivered a welcome blend of kid accommodation and adult education and humor. The absolute highlight of my trip!PERFECTLY imperfect—even with cranky kids!

Rita guided our 3 generation family group through a truly amazing day. She has a very warm personality, connected immediately with our grandchildren (9 and 12) and kept them and all of us immersed in the history of the Peña Palace and the playfulness of the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira. Rita is an excellent guide. She has passion about Portugal and was so informative about the history and culture. The tour I booked was for Belem but it was so much more. I felt like I was on a tour with an old friend. We stopped by the original pastel de nata bakery- that was the best of all the pastries I had during my trip. A private tour is the way to go- you get so much insight of the aspects of Portuguese life that is of interest to you and your group. Informative historical and cultural tour

Rita was an excellent guide. She was friendly and fun, with a huge personal knowledge of Lisbon. She gave us a local’s viewpoint of the city, which is so much more valuable than the usual tourist guided tours. We got an understanding of the local culture and history and learnt so much about Lisbon in just 3 hours. Would totally recommend Rita.

Rita gave us a great tour of central/old Lisbon, touching on all the interesting and historic sites. Also explained some of the political history for context. She is a terrific guide and (born there) long time resident. She also offered good recommendations on other things to see and restaurants. You CANNOT go wrong with her! Historic city tour with Rita
