My husband and I had the best time learning to make pasta, Roman cookies, and pasta sauce with Roberto. His home is so welcoming and the dinner was delicious! We had the perfect evening with Roberto! He made us feel welcome from the first moment and we felt like friends cooking together. We got to know the importance of different flours for pasta making. We prepared the dough for fettuccine together and we where always hands on and Roberto assisted, when we needed his experience. All the ingredients where fresh and after we got to know our ways into the preparation of the dough and how to get it in shape, we are convinced, we'll be able to get it right at home alone as well. While the dough took is rest, we prepared typical Roman wine cookies. Simple, special and soon after they went into the oven, a lovely scent filled the kitchen. Roberto even had startes prepared, so while we waited for the pasta to dry, we enjoyed the 3 starters, Bruscetta and a lovely glas of wine. All the fresh ingredients where so tasty and the conversation about cooking, recipe tips and differences between the areas, we had the best 'waiting time' for the final preparations. Roberto gave us the choice between 4 different sauces for the pasta and we decided for a typical Roman one 'Fettuccine all'Amatriciana' - delicious :-) After we finished with the starters, we learned about the right ingredients to use. Tried a bit here and there and prepared the sauce. I can tell you one thing, I've loved pasta all my life and I thought I know how to prepare it. Now I know, what pasta has to be like and has to taste of. No bought fresh pasta can ever be as tasty, as home made once. With the recipe we got from Roberto, which was handed to him from his mum and grandma, we'll now have to prepare pasta ourselves. We had the perfect evening preparing pasta and spending time with a great host and new friend Roberto. If you want to experience a hands on cooking class with a one to one teacher, go and book here, you won't be disappointed. It was a lot more than we expected and we had lot's of fun together. An easy 11/10! We have been in Rome for four nights and seen everything from the Colosseum to Pompei (on a day trip )but it is the little moments that make the best memories and that is exactly what our last night in Rome was. Roberto is so lovley and welcoming. With such a relaxed atmosphere it was a lovley break from the hustle and bustle of inner city Rome. We felt at home right away. Making the pasta was great fun and worked well with a larger group. We now know all the tricks on what flour to use and why the pasta needs to be rested. The cookies were downright delicious and a great addition to the meal. Roberto was very easy to communicate with. We can’t thank him enough for easily making our last night in Rome the best one! Hopefully we can recreate the delicious pasta at home. Thank you again!Best night in Rome.

We had a wonderful experience with Roberto. It was exactly as we had hoped.. a perfect evening of food, cooking, and friendly conversation. We were a family with ages ranging from 15 to 63 and all felt very engaged and raved about the experience. Please do not hesitate to book this!
