I obtained bachelor degree in Cultural Heritage, master degree in Classical Archaeology and the diploma of Post-Graduate School in Archeological Heritage.

I’m an authorized guide of Campania Region since 2011 and also I worked like archaeologist in all around the Mediterranean sea: Populonia (Livorno, Italy), Paestum (Salerno, Italy), Olbia de Provance (Hyères, Var –France), Efestia (Lemnos, Greece), Phaistos, (Crete, Greece).

Since I was a child I loved history of ancient Greeks and Romans and also the Art history from the Middle Age to the Avanguardie of the ‘900.

I live in Salerno a characteristic sea town located between the paradise of Amalfi Coast and the charming Cilento.

I'm going to offer my knowledge in the art-historical and archaeological field for anyone who wants to understand and investigate the incredible richness of the Campania Region.

Together we will discover the secrets of ancient Greeks and Romans that already in the past they knew the incomparable beauty of this places.

I collaborate with Slow Food (an international movement that strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem) and so I organize specific tours to those who want to discover the authentic pleasures of wine and food.

I visited Pompei 20 years ago on the free group tour and had always wanted to go back, as there was so much more I wanted to see. It was wonderful to get a chance to do this with Roberto as our private guide. He took great care to find out what we were interested in seeing and recommended rearranging the day of our tour (which we did) to ensure all the newer sites would be open. Seeing Pompei with Roberto was truly fascinating and felt like I was seeing Pompei for the first time again! I also learned so much more than I did on my last visit. As well as being an interesting and expert guide, Roberto gave us a great tip for our visit to Herculaneum the following day, and a new food exhibition which we could access with our entrance ticket. This wasn’t advertised at Herculaneum (or mentioned by the guide there), so we wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. We were so glad that we saw it and thankful to Roberto for his recommendation. Without a doubt, his tour of Pompei was the highlight of our holiday and we will definitely book him for future trips : ) The highlight of our holiday!

We had a wonderful 3 hours with Roberto! He is very knowledgeable and helped us avoid the crowds (as much as possible in Pompei) while seeing incredible parts of history! We definitely recommend spending time with Roberto!Great guide!

Our family of 6 took a day trip from Rome to Pompeii and hired Roberto as our guide. The whole experience was wonderful!! Roberto is an excellent communicator. He was available from the time we booked. He helped me navigate how to purchase train tickets, provided the link to purchase advance tickets for Pompeii, and even arranged for a private driver to pick us up from the train station. Our train was delayed an hour and both Roberto and our driver were very understanding and accommodating. The tour was fantastic. Walking through Pompeii with an archaeologist was an exceptional experience. Having worked on the site himself, he is a wealth of interesting information. I especially appreciated how patient and engaging he was with our 9 year old twin boys. I am sure we would not have had such a great experience in Pompeii without him. Everyone in our party agreed that Roberto made it a very special day!Worth it!!

Absolutely AMAZING experience with Roberto... he helped organize a driver to meet us at the train station so that we could go up to Vesuvius and hike the crater before then being driven back to Pompeii and meeting with Roberto for a tour. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and paced the tour extremely well. His passion for history was infectious and adults and teen boys all said it was one of the best tour guides we had on our trip. Don't look further, just book with Roberto. Roberto was the best!! We had a tour of Pompeii and Ercolano with Roberto on 12/3 and it was excellent! You can't even imagine how much more interesting and informative it is when you have a customized, private tour with an expert who loves history. Roberto was informative, interesting and really gave us an insider's view. There's no way we would have enjoyed learning about the history in a large group or on our own. Worth every cent. On our next trip to Italy, we will certainly look for an opportunity to book another tour with Roberto!Excellent Tour with Roberto

Roberto was a fantastic guide! My wife and I were with him for the Pompeii tour. Roberto is very easy going and his knowledge was extensive. We plan on coming back next year with our three college age boys and going through the tour again. I can’t imagine walking around with the large tour groups when guides like Roberto are available.Well worth it!

We had a wonderful tour of Pompeii with Roberto. Roberto is a trained archeologist and has actually worked on projects at Pompeii. With all his knowledge, Roberto didn't overwhelm us with too much information but gave us a perfect explanation of the history. I could really picture what it may have been like when the Romans lived there. Thank you Roberto for a great morning. Great day in Pompeii with Roberto

Roberto is an amazing guide! He showed us so many little details in Pompeii and challenged us to figure out what some of the areas were. Because he is also an archeologist, we not only saw the life in Pompeii, we could feel it! Roberto was very kind to two elderly ladies, helping us over some of the rougher areas but never making us feel elderly. The pace of the tour was perfect. We highly recommend Roberto if you want a special experience in Pompeii. Roberto Rocks
