Although I wasn't born in Porto, I´m living here for more than 25 years... I fell in love with this city, when I came here to study!

Rosa is a very knowledgeable and kind lady. In our tour we (4 of us) learnt all about the history of Porto which gave us a good start and insight into planning our days in Porto. We wandered through the beautiful narrow streets from district to district and Rosa gave us some excellent recommendations for sight-seeing, restaurants and Fado. In every big city that you visit there's large tours with thirty or forty people following a red umbrella or a big Tour sign. Forget even thinking about these, sign up with local, knowledgeable, friendly and professional guides such as Rosa. We had a wonderful morning touring the city with Rosa, we never felt rushed, we never felt we were on her timetable, we just had a wonderful tour of the city. We can't recommend her enough and, if we return, we'd love to have her as our guide again.Porto with Rosa

We only had 3 days in Porto and reserved 3 hours with Rosa and so happy we did! Rosa was flexible with us and was able to move our start time one hour later so we could attend mass at the cathedral and she also met us there for our starting point. She was very knowledgeable about the historic details and current events sharing interesting facts about the things and places we were seeing on our walk. This was an excellent way to get an introduction and overview of Porto. Rosa allowed us to take our time to absorb the atmosphere and to take pictures. She also gave us tips on experiencing the festival of St John which was going on that day and we had a fabulous time! Our tour ended with a nice snack of cookies and tea inside a peaceful courtyard in a monastery and a very nice and serendipitous conversation with the host there. It was a delight spending a late Sunday morning with Rosa. She’s insightful and knowledgeable about Porto, through the ages to the present day. We learnt a lot on this ‘Off the Beaten Track’ tour of Porto and it differed from the ‘Highlights of Porto’ tour we took on the first day of our trip. We started from a quiet, high up spot, with an unfolding gorgeous view of the river. Rosa lead a peaceful, meandering tour through the tiny, sometimes cobbled, ancient streets, imparting history and stories as we progressed. She covered so many different aspects, from history, social issues, local tales and local people of interest, religion, royalty, architecture etc. She’s even inspired us to do the Pilgrim walk in the future! Rosa’s a calm, intelligent and relaxed, lovely lady who tells and pitches a story very well and without judgement. We were provided with interesting detail and information and given space to make our own judgements and conclusions. Rosa’s an exceptional storyteller and we really appreciated her style. We recommend highly that you take a tour with her. She also kindly gave us ideas about places to go and to eat, which was vey generous of her. Thank you so much for the tour, Rosa! Rosa took my husband and I on a wonderful walking tour of Porto. Rosa was very friendly, knowledgeable and so accommodating! She shared information about the history of Porto and Portugal, as well as information about the various landmarks in the area. She took us through areas that were quieter, since we said we liked to be away from big crowds. Our tour was on April 25, the 50th Anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. Porto was very busy, but Rosa took us down beautiful back streets and stairs as we walked to the river. This tour was a perfect way to start our 4 days in Porto. Rosa was easy to talk to you and made us feel very comfortable. We would highly recommend Rosa as a local guide! Beautiful walk with Rosa

A truly great walking tour. We met at the top of the city and toured some beautiful sights of Porto. Rosa's knowledge of the city was outstanding. We processed down through some of the best parts and down to the river. We all found the tour very very good. Thank you RosaAbsolutely Fabulous

I’m a middle aged single woman traveling solo. Rosa gave me a gorgeous overview of the city and helped me decide where to prioritize my time during my short stay. She led me down streets and alleys I never would have found by myself and shared perspective of what I was seeing to help understand Porto as a really city filled with real people. It’s a little pricey to book a solo tour but to me it is worth every penny to get a personalized guide to help spend the rest of my precious vacation time wisely.Like having a friend to show me the city
