As an experienced Art Historian and guide, I would love to show you around London's galleries and museums. I am also an artist and run my own Art Consultancy so I live, breathe and love Art!

London is well known for the Queen, its world-class theatre and its extraordinary history - but did you know that it has some of the best museums in the world? The Rosetta Stone, Van Gogh's Sunflowers, Mark Rothko's The Seagram Murals and many hidden gems are waiting for you in London's galleries and museums.

I have lived in London for many years, Washington, Barcelona, Amsterdam and I am now back in London. I have lectured in most museums in Europe and worked at The National Gallery in London. I have experienced different cultures and speak several languages. I lecture in English, but I also guide in French and Italian.

My husband and I hired Maria to guide us through the National At Gallery during the Van Gogh exhibit and also the next day at the British Museum. She brought the history and the stories of the paintings and artists alive with her great depth and breadth of knowledge. We told her what we were interested in and she curated a tour just for our interests. She was a wonderful story teller with her knowledge of the various cultures, especially in the British Museum. We so enjoyed Maria and her charming personality, that we will definitely reserve her guidance when we return to London for another great holiday of museums and galleries. Spectacular Art Historian!

We had a spectacular tour of the British Museum with Rosa. Her knowledge was not just about the artifact but the context around it. We had some special interest in a particular exhibit and she prepared specifically for that, including some good book recommendations. She is our “go to” guide for British museums. We had a wonderful time with Rosa exploring the National Gallery. She took us on a very interesting tour with al lot of interaction. She gave us new insights on paintings we taught we knew and let us discover a few gems that had previously escaped our attention. We are looking forward to meet her again on our next trip to London. a highly recommended discovery

Rosa provided a fantastic introductory tour of the museum. She has an incredible depth of knowledge regarding the areas of the Museum we visited. She made many efforts to understand our interests and incorporate them in the tour. She modulated the pace of the visit based on our energy - greatly appreciated as we had flown in that morning! Rosa is an Oracle (minus the sulphur!). She brought all the unassuming structures to life and pointed out many interesting "Fun Facts". We could have easily booked a few days with Rosa - time flew by and 3 days later, we are still talking about what we learned. Rosa will make you see the British Museum in a new light and you will want to keep going back. Rosa brought the past to life!

We had a wonderful experience at the National Gallery with Rosa. Her knowledge of, and love for, the Gallery was obvious. Due to us having another commitment we were a bit rushed, but Rosa showed us the highlights of the Gallery and taught us so much about the paintings we saw.
