Ruairi knows everyone in Dublin and this adds to the experience of the food tour for sure. He has his favorite pubs and tables, even shared some whiskey with us! Ruairi was a great host. We enjoyed a variety of local foods and got a lot of inside information on the buildings and neighborhoods we visited. Ruairi was very personable and adapted the stops and the amount of walking to fit our interests. Our first time booking with Withlocals turned out to be a fantastic experience! We had an unforgettable 3-hour tour of Dublin’s southside with Ruairi, a local tour guide I found from website Withlocals and it was absolutely fantastic! As a true Dubliner, Ruairi brought the city to life with his incredible depth of historical knowledge and engaging storytelling. He made every stop feel meaningful and full of character, from iconic landmarks to hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own. One of the highlights was how he took us off the typical tourist path, visiting a beloved local pub The Ha'Penny Bridge Inn where my son Ruairi pulled his first Guinness, a gorgeous local artwork shop called Jam Art Factory, and Sweny’s Pharmacy a charming non-for-profit bookshop and beautifully preserved old pharmacy made famous by James Joyce. Each stop felt like a little window into Dublin’s heart and soul. Ruairi also shared some brilliant foodie tips that we took full advantage of, so many delicious discoveries! One was definitely Murphys Ice Cream! His passion for the city was infectious, and by the end of the tour, we felt like we’d explored Dublin with a good friend who knows all the best secrets. Highly recommend this tour and especially Ruairi if you’re looking for an authentic, insightful, and truly memorable experience in Dublin.Dublin with the Dubliner!

We have done over 20 food and traveling tours over 30 years and Ruairi was the best tour guide we have ever had. It was a very real Dublin experience with wonderful stories, great food and a relaxed leader who is obviously well known and well liked everywhere we went. We did not go 5 minutes without laughing out loud.Amazing authentic Dublin experience!

We had a great tour with Ruairi. We did a 3 hour tour which initially started as the 1916 Easter Rising tour but Ruairi quickly made some changes as we were very much interested in other more general Dublin-must-knowns as well. The tour was informative and fun and we even tapped our own Guinness. If you're looking for a fun, easy-going yet very informative tour of Dublin, Ruairi is your guide!Great overall experience
