Hello there, my name is Sebastian and I was raised in Germany and evolved into a grown-up in the Netherlands. My father is German and my mother Dutch - that makes me best of both worlds (I hope :) ).

I'm living in the Netherlands for about 17 years now. First in Rotterdam and later, with a detour via Hamburg, in Amsterdam.

In spite of the wet day, we had a great day touring by bike with Sebastian. He gave us some tips on biking in Amsterdam before we headed out. Sebastian took us on a large loop where we saw a variety of neighborhoods and architecture. He was able to weave historical context into much of what we were seeing. He also showed us a few quirky tidbits along the way. Very Enjoyable

Sebastian is awesome! From the beginning, it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend and not some robotic tour guide we just met. He was very warm and friendly and insightful about his city. He knows many locals who were very excited to see him (especially Nils and Inge at the tiny house tea shop - so cute!). He told us about many hidden gems both for visiting and for eating. We had the pleasure of taking a biking tour with Sebastian on our first day in Amsterdam, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. Sebastian was incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the city’s rich history, but also its culture, community, and politics. He gave us a fascinating, well-rounded perspective that went far beyond the typical tourist narrative. Navigating Amsterdam’s bustling bike lanes can be intimidating, but Sebastian made us feel completely safe and confident. His guidance was clear and patient, and his passion for the city really shone through. We were able to cover far more ground than we ever could have on foot, and it gave us a perfect introduction to the city’s layout and neighborhoods. Sebastian was the most wonderful and informative tour guide, going way beyond our expectations! He put together an excellent route, though out the older and newer parts of the city. He was very knowledgeable of the old/new city history and food scene, which was an important part of our tour. He took us to sample different local foods and left us with many recommendations, all of which, we thoroughly enjoyed! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thanks again, Sebastian! We were off the beaten track with Sebastian and we enjoyed it a lot! We have seen a part of Amsterdam which we would have never seen without him. He has great knowledge and love for the City and the country. Our teenagers also enjoyed the time. Thank you Sebastian!Excellent! Recommendable!

Sebastian was great and full of history and fun facts. He showed us both new and old Amsterdam, explained the origins of many traditions and was great with adults and kids. We all had a great time with him! Great restaurant rec too, thanks Sebastian! Great walking tour of Amsterdam!

My family of two adults and three teenagers took a walking tour of Amsterdam with Sebastian in February 2025. Before the tour, Sebastian was very easy to communicate with and flexible with the arrangements. From the start of the tour Sebastian made an effort to understand what we were interested in and what type of tour we would like. He gave us a good mix of local knowledge, history, culture and interesting facts. The tour covered a lot of ground but moved at a comfortable pace. Our kids needed a food break before the planned stop and Sebastian had no problem changing things around to keep everyone fueled up. I would highly recommend Sebastian as a tour guide.Perfect Personalised Tour
