Hello there, my name is Sebastian and I was raised in Germany and evolved into a grown-up in the Netherlands. My father is German and my mother Dutch - that makes me best of both worlds (I hope :) ).

I'm living in the Netherlands for about 17 years now. First in Rotterdam and later, with a detour via Hamburg, in Amsterdam.

I love to be active in the city and see how it develops. The world is never the same and so is my city ... come and explore it with me.

Sebastian was a great guide! While on tour, we felt as though we were taking a walk with an old friend (and a very knowledgable one). He told us about the history of the city as well as the lives of Amsterdam's citizens now. He adapted his way of explaining stuff to our mixed level of English (used simpler terms — so don't worry about not understanding something) and he showed us the best local places (the snack was amazing!). We also really appreciated little fun facts about various subjects connected to the city and his tips on best gifts from Amsterdam. We feel fully prepared for getting around on our own in the next days of our trip and for understanding stuff in museums and places all around town better. Sebastian is a great choice no matter the group — we went as mother and daughter (50 and 19) and both had a wonderful time. Amazing experience, we highly recommend! A wonderful experience :))

We really enjoyed having Sebastian as our tour guide for Amsterdam. He was on time, showed us many interesting sights and was very knowledgeable about his home town. We loved his great stories! In spite of the wet day, we had a great day touring by bike with Sebastian. He gave us some tips on biking in Amsterdam before we headed out. Sebastian took us on a large loop where we saw a variety of neighborhoods and architecture. He was able to weave historical context into much of what we were seeing. He also showed us a few quirky tidbits along the way. Very Enjoyable

Sebastian is awesome! From the beginning, it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend and not some robotic tour guide we just met. He was very warm and friendly and insightful about his city. He knows many locals who were very excited to see him (especially Nils and Inge at the tiny house tea shop - so cute!). He told us about many hidden gems both for visiting and for eating. We had the pleasure of taking a biking tour with Sebastian on our first day in Amsterdam, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. Sebastian was incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the city’s rich history, but also its culture, community, and politics. He gave us a fascinating, well-rounded perspective that went far beyond the typical tourist narrative. Navigating Amsterdam’s bustling bike lanes can be intimidating, but Sebastian made us feel completely safe and confident. His guidance was clear and patient, and his passion for the city really shone through. We were able to cover far more ground than we ever could have on foot, and it gave us a perfect introduction to the city’s layout and neighborhoods. What we appreciated most was how the tour helped us get our bearings right away. Sebastian was the most wonderful and informative tour guide, going way beyond our expectations! He put together an excellent route, though out the older and newer parts of the city. He was very knowledgeable of the old/new city history and food scene, which was an important part of our tour. He took us to sample different local foods and left us with many recommendations, all of which, we thoroughly enjoyed! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thanks again, Sebastian!
