Phúc was a great tour guide, he’s very informative and knowledgeable. My wife and I enjoyed the sights around the rice paddies and meeting some of the local people who took us into to their homes and showed us local traditions such as: creating rice paper and pho noodles, as well as mat weaving. We got to share snacks with Phúc, who also prepared refreshments for us at the stops. Fun and informative

We had organised our tour for Sunday the day of our arrival into Hoi An, unfortunately Phuc couldn’t make it but he happily rescheduled us in with Tham. Tham was really great, showing us all the local cuisines and tiny laneways throughout town and surrounds. Tham gave us a little insight into the daily routine of everyday life in Vietnam and it was really impressive to hear and understand the way of life for Vietnamese families. We absolutely loved the food and by the end we were so full! Make sure you wear walking shoes & bring a big appetite, as you will enjoy many different things on the tour. With only a short time in Hoi An we combined the Bicycle tour with the 10 Tastings and so glad we did! It’s been a while since I have ridden a bike and I admit to being a little worried about the chaotic traffic. Overthinking as usual. The bikes were easy to ride and Phuc led us through quiet alley’s and back streets stopping for our first delicious tastings off the beaten track. Before heading over the bridge to the island. (The bridge is an experience in itself) Phuc is a wonderful story teller and shared his knowledge about his Hoi An as we cycled past rice paddys, farm houses and the occasional bullock. We took shelter from the unexpected downpour with a local family, who warmly welcomed us to try rice cake and noodle making. Fun! More tastings as we made our way by bike and boat back to Hoi An. Ending the night with a wish on a floating lantern and something a bit different for dessert. Thank you Phuc! Highly recommend both tours and if you have time, drop by Phuc’s beautiful mum’s restaurant! Best Hoi An experience

My family (two adults and three kids) and I had an unforgettable evening exploring Hoi An’s Old Town with Phúc. From the moment we met him, he felt more like a cousin than a tour guide. Warm and funny, he looked after us every step of the way. Even on a sweltering night, he kept us refreshed, offering water and drink refills throughout the night, like a thoughtful host at a backyard barbecue. Our picky eaters can be a tough crowd, but Phúc’s easygoing charm worked wonders. He coaxed them into trying unfamiliar dishes and celebrated each new discovery. At one spontaneous stop, he bought corn on the cob, sweet potatoes, and steamed peanuts from a street vendor, turning this into its own little tasting adventure. The kids loved every bite. We slipped into hidden alleyways to slurp steamy bowls of local soup, learned how to wrap grilled meats in delicate pancakes, and made wishes by candlelight before sending lanterns drifting down the river. The pace was relaxed and playful. When our stroll wound down, Phúc steered us toward the night markets. We meandered through stalls piled high with tropical fruits and local wears. A few days later, we returned to Phúc’s family restaurant. He and his mother welcomed us like old friends, filling our table with authentic dishes, pouring us the best local coffee and sharing stories that had us laughing. Both the street food tour and the sit down meal became highlights of our Hoi An stay. Thanks to Phúc, we now feel confident chatting with locals, ordering from Vietnamese menus, and truly savouring the city’s flavours. We had such an amazing experience with Phuc that we booked two tours with him: First we enjoyed that Highlights & Hidden Gems of Hoi An so much that we booked the 10 Tastings of Hoi An: Street Food tour. The cultural city tour was fantastic. Phuc’s kindness, fun energy, and deep local knowledge made us see Hoi An in a completely different light. We discovered corners of the ancient town we’d never have found on our own, and his stories brought so much history and local life to the beautiful streets. We enjoyed it so much that we booked his food tour a few hours after we finished the cultural tour. It was the perfect blend of delicious tastings, hidden local spots, and cultural moments woven throughout. We got to try a range of dishes, from family-run restaurants serving recipes passed down for generations, to not one but two versions of banh mi: one hip with a looooong line of tourists (which he bypassed to grab us an order inminutes) and an one old school eatery inside someone's home. There were funky cafés, sweet and savory bites, refreshing drinks, and plenty of local color along the way. Phuc is an incredible host. He's warm, funny, and genuinely passionate about sharing his city. If you want to taste the best of Hoi An and see it through a local’s eyes, don’t miss this! Phuc was a wonderful guide, showing us all the hidden gems in Hoi An. The food was amazing and we had a very fun time chatting with Phuc and learning about all the different flavours and tastes. A great way to see Hoi An town too! Great value for money, with all drinks and food included. Fabulous, a must do!
