I can't really comment about my experience with Tam, as he got his friend, Phúc to replace him on the day itself at the last minute without informing me. Because of this, I deducted some points from my review. However, Phúc was a friendly and good guide. Before we started, he took the time to explain to me the plan for the day and was open to changes when I told him that I already visited one of the places in the plan and made some recommendations for other good food near my hotel when I asked. Although I was a bit disappointed that we didn't manage to cover everything that was planned, Phúc brought me for some surprisingly yummy food and it was a nice change of pace checking out the outskirts of Hoi An. He was patient and made an effort to try and explain things to me even though I could tell English wasn't a language he was super comfortable using. I had a great time with Phúc and it was nice walking around Hoi An and getting to know the place. Thank you Phúc for the experience!Day trip to Hoi An

We had a great bike trip with Tam for the afternoon. Tam was an excellent guide. He speaks English very well. We wanted to have a day out of the town and the chaos of TET celebrations and he took us out into the countryside surrounding Hoi An. It was really great to experience that. We had the pleasure of spending an evening with Tam and his 10 tastings of Hoi An. This experience was so much more than ten tastings, it was also a nice introduction to the history of Hoi An and everyday life in Vietnam. Don’t get me wrong, the food was fantastic, and the best we had while in Hoi An! But the total of our insight gained on the tour with Tam, by far superseded our expectations of what a tasting tour could be. Tam communicates well, is fun to be with and has great knowledge which he gladly shares. He also takes you to the roads less traveled which is refreshing in the tourist driven old town, and as others have written: we would never have found these places on our own. Ps: visit his mother’s breakfast restaurant, it’s also fantastic!

Tam gave us an amazing food tour in Hoi An. We got to try so many different types of local food. We were very full and very pleased after more than 3 hours of walking around the town and food tasting. Tam is very kind and knowledgeable. By the end of the tour he even helped us light a lantern in the river. A 10/10 experience.Incredible guide and incredible food tour

After a whirlwind tour of Asia, and many food tours, the food tour with Tam was simply one of the best. Tam was amazing. His relationships with all the local restaurants he took us allowed for us to sit and enjoy the best of Hoi An at a reasonable pace. Tam was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Highly recommended! We loved the Hoi An food tour with Tam!

We had an amazing afternoon with Tam, riding through the rice paddies and villages outside Hoi An. Tam was funny, informative and helpful, and although we didn’t realise at the time he took lots of photos of us riding around. Visiting the rice paper makers and mat weavers was thought provoking and educational. The riding is not hard, and there is no better way to see some of the real Viet Nam. Couldn’t recommend it higher.Such a fun day out!

Our family absolutely loved our tour with Tam. Riding electric scooters through the countryside was such a fun way to see the area, and with hardly any traffic, we felt totally at ease. Tam took us to visit some local families who make things like rice paper and sleeping mats by hand. It was such a unique experience and felt really special to be welcomed into their homes. Afterward, Tam brought us to a few restaurants to try local food – everything was delicious! Tam explained so much about the dishes and the culture, which made it even better. Plus, he’s just a super friendly guy to hang out with. This tour was a highlight of our trip. We’d 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An!Awesome tour - A Highlight of Our Trip!
