Absolutely great experience with delicious food and a fantastic guide. We learned so much about all the ingredients, ways of cooking and Vietnamese history.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Vietnam!
We had a wonderful experience with Alice and Chef Tan. The day started at his farm, where we picked fresh vegetables, learning about the ingredients that make Vietnamese cuisine so special. We then used what we picked to cook four delicious dishes, guided by the Chef’s expertise. The food was fresh and extremely flavorful.
Afterwards, we went to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where Alice shared fascinating stories about the Vietnam War and the tunnels’ history. It was a perfect mix of hands-on cooking, cultural discovery, and historical learning.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Vietnam!Great day
My family had a wonderful experience joining Linh as our chef at the HMC cook g school. The experience of farm to table was great for our 3 children to get a better understanding of the good cycle and the food we cooked was amazing! Would highly recommend!!!
Aura was an excellent tour guide, making sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire tour and waking up so early to meet me at my hotel. She thoroughly explained the background behind each ingredient of each dish we cooked and was indefatigable in her energy when cooking as well as guiding me through the Cu Chi tunnels. I 100% would recommend Aura and Tan's Cooking class to any future visitors - you will not regret it.Excellent Cooking Tour by Aura
I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Absolute 5 star ⭐️ day.
From start to finish it was brilliant.
Picking our own herbs from the garden and making 5 mouth watering dishes.
Our ever patient Chef making it all so easy.
Eating the products of our labour was even better.
I have my certificate on the wall 😂😂😂and have repeated some of the recipes at home .
Thank you 😊 I am now a Chef 😀😀🤔🤔
Absolutely great experience with delicious food and a fantastic guide. We learned so much about all the ingredients, ways of cooking and Vietnamese history. We can really recommend this tour, also very suitable for kids. Great experience
This is a great tour combination, we can definitely recommend. We enjoyed a whole day-trip together with Lani, who picked us up at the hotel, gave us many insights into the countries history, cuisine and culture and taught us a lot about local vegetables and herbs and how to turn them into delicious food. After the cooking class, where we also got to meet Chef Tan, we visited the Cu Chi tunnels together and learned even more about the area’s history. Lani is a wonderful, energetic, open-minded and knowledgeable person and we enjoyed the day together with her very much!Amazing experience
A huge thank you for this amazing day !
It was very interesting, funny, and tasty. So cool to learn a lot with you about vietnamese cuisine and the tunnels of Cu Chi !
Thank you for your kindness, of course, and the good tips on cooking.
A very good activity to do during a trip. Amazing experience
My friend, husband, and I booked this cooking class and Cu Chi tunnel tour. We were picked up right at our AirBnb and whisked away to the organic farm north of HCM. We did not meet Chef Tan and were instead given the tour/class by another team member. While the class was excellent, it would have been nice to know who we were having the class with ahead of time. We were also not the only ones in the cooking class. There were two other people in the class, one of whom booked through AirBnb and had a slightly different menu than us. Neither a brief explanation, nor introduction was given by the woman who instructed our class regarding any of this. That being said, our chef was wonderful! We went around the farm, learning about and harvesting our ingredients before heading inside to cook. The class moved at a pace that everyone in our class could follow and we would sit down and eat each dish immediately after preparing it. We made one appetizer, two mains, and a dessert. We even learned how to plate the meals. The food was delicious and we were all amazed that we had prepared the meals ourselves. We also felt like these would be easy recipes to try at home.
Once the cooking class was complete, the 3 of us boarded our van and the chef took us to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The other two participants in the cooking class did not attend this part of the tour. While the tour of the tunnels was brief, we found it very interesting and the appropriate length. We saw the traps used during the war, crawled through a tunnel, and ate a snack similar to what the people survived on during the wartime.
Overall we truly enjoyed the entire experience and would go back for a second cooking class if given the opportunity. However, a little more transparency about who is taking the class with us and who the chef will be would have been appreciated. Totally Worth It!
We had a wonderful time picking our vegetables and herbs and turning them into delicious dishes. When we got home we replicated the dishes much to delight of our family. Afterwards we had an interesting time touring the tunnels with our guide. Thumbs up to this tour combo. An excellent cooking class and tunnels tour
