From the iconic Acropolis, the Temple of the Olympian Zeus and the Ancient Agora to the bustling Monastiraki, the gorgeous maze of alleyways and backstreets of Psirri and the picturesque streets of the Plaka district (Old Town), I will take you on a journey through time and venture off the beaten path to discover hidden gems that only the locals know about.

With over 3,000 years of history, Athens is a city that is steeped in culture, mythology, and ancient ruins. Whether you are a history buff, a foodie, or simply someone who loves to explore new places and soak up the local atmosphere, lifestyle, culture and customs, I can tailor our tour to suit your interests and preferences.

But that's not all! In addition to exploring Athens itself, I offer tours to Delphi, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece and the site of the famous Oracle of Delphi (Pythia) and also to Cape Sounio and the Poseidon Temple, a magnificent cliff-top sanctuary dedicated to the God of the Sea, where you can witness the breathtaking sunset over the Aegean Sea.

On our journey to Delphi, which, in the ancient world, was also known as the "Navel of the World," we will explore the scenic mountainous region of Central Greece and make a must-do stop at Arachova, the “Winter Mykonos of Greece”.

In Delphi, we will discover the ancient ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo, where the ancient Greeks came to consult the Oracle of Delphi, one of the most famous and powerful oracles in history. We will also explore the Delphi Archaeological Museum, which houses an impressive collection of ancient artifacts from the site.

Meanwhile, our visit to Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon will take us on a coastal adventure through charming seaside towns and stunning views of the Aegean Sea, to one of Greece's most beautiful locations, located at the southernmost point of the Attica peninsula where we can further enjoy dazzling sea views and marvel at the temple's architecture. Along the way, we will be making several captivating stops, primarily in the Southern Suburbs—widely regarded as the most beautiful part of Athens and we will immerse ourselves in their unparalleled beauty and character. This is where I call home, a place I know intimately, down to every nook and cranny, and I’m thrilled to share its hidden gems and local secrets with you.

Completing our trilogy of captivating day trips, I invite you to join me on an extraordinary adventure to the breathtaking Peloponnese region, a true gem of Greece. On this excursion, we will delve into three extraordinary destinations: the Corinth Canal, Nafplio, and the ancient theater of Epidaurus. Prepare to be enthralled by the beauty and history that unfold before us on this remarkable journey.

Our first stop will be the Corinth Canal, a marvel of engineering that connects the Aegean Sea to the Ionian Sea. As we stand on the bridge overlooking the canal, you'll be awestruck by the sheer magnitude of this man-made waterway and the breathtaking views it offers. We'll learn about the canal's fascinating history and the impact it had on trade and transportation in ancient and modern times.

Next, we'll make our way to Nafplio, a charming coastal town that was once the capital of Greece. With its Venetian architecture, narrow streets, and scenic harbor, Nafplio exudes a romantic and nostalgic ambiance. We'll explore the historic Old Town, visit the imposing Palamidi Fortress perched on a hilltop, and perhaps indulge in some local delicacies at one of the charming seaside tavernas.

Our final destination for the day will be the awe-inspiring ancient theatre of Epidaurus, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its remarkable acoustics and well-preserved architecture. As we step into this ancient amphitheater, you'll feel the echoes of thousands of years of history. I'll share captivating stories and legends associated with the theater, transporting you back to the time when it hosted magnificent performances and dramatic competitions.

Thomas did a fabulous job sharing Athens' history and his favorite parts of the city. We many of the historical sites, with historical context in a way that our group of nine (including 5 tween/teens!) really appreciated. From sharing delicious New Year's treats, a perfect lunch spot, and ending at golden hour with incredible views of the city, the full day with Thomas will always be with us. Thomas also really went above and beyond, sharing sites outside of Athens to visit in our travels. We are deeply grateful for this experience!Thomas Made Athens Come Alive!

My husband and I selected to tour Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon with Thomas as our guide. The pre-tour communication was just a preview of the excellent service Thomas provided. Thomas made us feel like old friends from the very start of our tour. He took us to see places he grew up visiting and hidden gems we would never have encountered on our own. Thomas is extremely knowledgeable about so many subjects and has such a passion for Greek Mythology. He instantly drew us into his world. We had so many fantastic conversations on the way to the temple and on our return. Thomas waited patiently while my husband and I explored the Temple and the surrounding area. He had provided us a write up to help guide our explorations. We had a fantastic day-trip to Delphi! Thomas is a wonderful guide - pleasant to talk with, fun, informative, and very accommodating. Delphi is a beautiful site, though a bit of a distance to get to. We had a six hour walking tour with Thomas around Athens. There was initially some confusion about the meeting point, which was our fault, but he quickly smoothed things over. He took us all around central Athens and showed us everything he possibly could and we never were made to feel time pressured. Thomas has a good knowledge of the history of Athens and unbiased insights into modern Athenian living. However, he struggles to deliver this information clearly, often stopping mid-sentence to start another as his train of thought gets carried away. We found the history he described difficult to follow, but his kindness and enthusiasm could not be faulted. Future clients may benefit from a text message the night before to exchange numbers and reiterate the meeting point. 100% effort from thomas
