Ugur is a very nice guy who has a big knowledge on historical facts. We enjoyed his company. He is also good with teenagers. We had 4 of them with us. He showed us nice places and took us to taste the best Baklava in town and Some Turkish caffee. He also took is on a short trip with the 2nd oldest metro in the world. We highly recommend Ugur for your trip! Excellent

Ugur is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Istanbul. He is very personable and is always open to his client’s preferences and will bend over backwards to accommodate them. I would certainly recommend him for anyone who wants to experience Istanbul to its fullest.Exceptional

Ugur took us to places frequented mainly by locals and with him, they treated us very well. He was very considerate of our picky teenagers, and adapted the tour and food as we went along. Everything was delicious and Ugur explained the various dishes and their preparation. He also answered our questions and sent us recommendations on things we were interested in afterwards. I only wish we had booked more tours with him.Unique experience

My wife and I took a food tour with Uğur and we had a most interesting, tasty and entertaining experience. Uğur had well curated the stops, making sure to satisfy our pescatarian diet. Sitting at the restaurants' tables was not only the best way to enjoy the food in a relaxed manner, but also an opportunity for Uğur to talk more about Turkey and Istanbul's history as well as the people's way of life. As usual, sharing a meal becomes an opportunity to share life experiences, and beside his deep knowledge about his country, Uğur doesn't mind conversing on all topics of life. We booked last thursday a wholeday tour with Local Guide Ugur in Istanbul. It was a tour around the nice highlights (Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Topkapi, Cisterns and Grand and Spice Bazaar) of the Old City and Ugur did a great job. Ugur offered us comfortabel Headsets which was a great advantage in the crowded places to listen to his historical but also present-day knowledge The lunch in his local restaurant strenghtend use throughout the day. Spent late afternoon, early evening with Ugur trawling the local and not so local areas of central Istanbul. Tasted traditional (kebab, pizza, shawarma) and local variations. More food than I could deal with (hah!) but mixed with local history and good conversation, this was an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in local flavours. Finished in the spice market which is alive with products and characters. Not to be missed. Thanks so much Ugur, (from the Kiwis who can't use a ticket machine :) Everything you need to know and eat
