I was born in Rome and after years of living abroad, I came back to live on the outskirts of the city. Rome is my home: the Eternal City!

My curiosity has led me to travel all over Europe and beyond: I have lived in Italy, France, Portugal and the UK and am fluent in Italian, Polish, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

I am a passionate storyteller who connects with people and their cultures, especially through food, traditions and wellness.

I will share the hidden gems with an authentic Roman eye.

The best moments I love on my tours are when my guests are so excited and surprised when we go to some of my hidden local food shops, get to know Rome and Italy with a Roman while tasting the food: it makes me happy and grateful to share more!

I customize tours for families and single travelers.

I love working with families, as I have extensive experience working with children and love creating fun and meaningful experiences for even the youngest.

I am also happy to work with singles or couples and will always choose the itineraries most appropriate for my guests.

For real food lovers, ask me to add an extra dimension to the tour with an olive oil tasting or little cultural tips, as I am also a certified olive oil taster.

My family of 5 joined Valentina on a recent trip to Italy and experienced the Rome: Culinary Kickstart tour. For two hours, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Valentina who is kind, personal, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. She is a wealth of information, having grown up in Italy and answered all our questions with depth and detail. She took us to some amazing local stores instead of pricier markets (which we quite busy and obviously popular!). Each food location was wonderful and the whole experience was a highlight of our entire Rome trip. I strongly recommend Valentina and this experience!A fabulous and memorable experience!

Valentina gave us the most incredible first day in Rome! From start to finish, she made the experience unforgettable with her warmth, knowledge, and passion for Roman cuisine. Every stop on the food tour was a gem, from savoring authentic local dishes to indulging in the best cannoli we’ve ever had. Beyond the food, Valentina brought the city to life with her captivating stories and deep understanding of Rome’s culture and history. We felt like we were exploring the city with a dear friend who genuinely cared about making our day special. Our time with Valentina was the best of our Rome experience. My brother and I are foodies, amateur cooks, and knowledgeable about Roman history. We found Valentina to be an excellent communicator, able to go into cultural, historical, and of course foodie topics with ease. Honestly, Valentina was wonderful and we had the most delightful time exploring Rome’s local foods. We took our niece, 17, and nephew, 16, as a graduation gift to Italy which in itself was an adventure. We went on multiple tours while traveling in Italy and Valentina’s food tour was, by far, their favorite. Valentina really took the time to engage them specifically and made it extra special which my wife and I truly appreciated. Since she grew up in Rome, Valentina has a true love affair of the local community and their food which is so evident. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our time but simply put, Valentina has a beautiful spirit with a passion for her community and the food she grew up eating! Ciao Valentina 🤗❤️! We had the most heavenly afternoon with Val, strolling around her favourite local places and eating amazing food! It was a couple of hours spent talking history, food, place, culture, gardening and travel - Val is knowledgeable and highly articulate about all these topics and we particularly enjoyed the little insights that wouldn't be found in a regular guidebook. We're still talking about our trip ❤️True flavours of Rome!

Our tour of Rome with Val was exceptional. Once I reviewed her profile and started messaging with her, I knew she was the right one for this experience we were looking for. Since we are traveling on a cruise and using their excursion to get us to the city, we ended up being delayed by an hour + and she was able to adjust the itinerary to fit what we wanted to see. She knew what to skip and what was worth seeing and especially where to get the best food in the city! Val's deep knowledge and engaging storytelling made the city come alive. We began in Trastevere, exploring Piazza Trilussa, Via della Scala, Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, and Piazza San Cosimato, each brimming with local charm. A delightful stop at the bakery provided some of the best pastries we've ever had, followed by a delicious meal at special local restaurant. Have to book with her to know her special places :) Crossing Ponte Sisto, we enjoyed stunning views of the Tiber River. Val guided us through the lively Campo de' Fiori and the historic Jewish Quarter, sharing fascinating insights along the way. We also visited Largo di Torre Argentina, where Julius Caesar was assassinated. Taking taxis, we saw the iconic Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Trevi Fountain, each more breathtaking than the last. We ended our tour near the government Palace and Galleria Alberto Sordi, reflecting on an unforgettable day in Rome. Fantastico

Valentina wist enorm veel te vertellen & hielt rekening met het gezelschap, waaronder mijn oma die ten eerste geen Engels sprak & soms wat meer pauzes nodig had ;) Leuke foodtour gehad door het wijkje Trastevere en veel bijgeleerd. Een absolute aanrader!

We’ve had a fantastic time with Valentina during our tour. We were super glad she took us to authentic local places that were sure we otherwise wouldn’t have found ourselves. She is clearly passionate about food and knows a whole lot, and we feel we learnt so much during the two hours together - not only about the food, but also a lot of facts about the history, culture or just useful facts and recommendations for places for the rest of our time in Rome. There was also no problems accommodating the tour to our vegetarian requirements. Would recommend to anyone!Great intro into Roman food culture

My wife and I, along with our boys aged 2 and 4, had a great time learning about the unique culture of Rome while being able to taste some incredible food. Her passion for what she does and her city shone through and made for a great experience! I really appreciated her patience and thoughtful games she prepared to keep our kids engaged throughout our time. Highly recommend!10/10 experience!
